Specific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – Plenty of signs at all the right turns. I had a great drive to and from on hwy 19.Parking Location – Grass.
Class Organization – none. park where you want. When I pulled in I was asked by one of the organizers if I would like to park by the 2 other bugs (including his wife’s bug).
Trophies & Prizes – No door prizes, but 3 foot tall trophies. Congrats to Rachel and mr_skeets
Food – since this was WaterTown Riverfest they had just about everything you can think of including pizza, tacos and for 20 bucks you could buy a 1-1/4 lb lobster.
Entertainment – They had a couple of speakers at the check-in station which you could hear fine if you were within a 100 ft of it, if not you couldn’t hear it. Also, since it is a fest they had stage with a couple of live bands (I sat over with the bands for about 2hrs), about 50 vendors selling crafts and the standard fair rides.
Judging – They came in pairs and gave you a sheet at registration so you could see what you were judged on.
Dash Plaque – Got one. Kinda plain (black and white)
Variety of Cars – Lots of great cars! at 11:30 I walk by the check-in and saw person #300 checking in.
Bathrooms – They had flushers at te top of the hill and few porta-johns around the park
Weather – It was a little warm til about 11am when the clouds came in. I had a few sprinkles on the windshield on the way home.
Trophy Presentation Timing – About 15 minutes late but they were quick to get all the plastic out to folks.
Entry Fee – 10 bucks.
Overall Rating:A
This show has many great things. Including signs to the show, people parking you, Judging sheeting that let you know what they are looking at, plenty of other things to look at other then cars.
My only recommendation is to only allow 1 trophy per car. Several best of cars also took their class trophies too.

Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – Easy to find, a great drive in the morning!
Parking Location – On the grass, that was nice and short.
Class Organization – Clubs were parked together, you could park just about anywhere. The shade was taken very early!
Trophies & Prizes – No door prizes, nice trophies
Food – By far my favorite show to get food at! A bit on the expensive side for some of the stuff, but you could pick just about anything.
Entertainment – I didn’t hear any music or announcements all day long, but did hear the bands later in the day that sounded very good.
Judging – They did a a nice job, I saw them judge my car and the judge was actually inside the car which surprised me, but they were thorough!
Dash Plaque – I got one!
Variety of Cars – Excellent! Many I’ve never seen before, a nice variety!
Bathrooms – They were scattered around, I think this is the first year for the portables?
Weather – Almost perfect, I’ll take it!
Trophy Presentation Timing – They started late, like many do, but kept it moving to get everyone out in time.
Entry Fee – $10
Overall Rating: AThis show continues to get better every year. There were interesting cars/trucks this year. The bus in the picture was really cool and had lots of lookers all day long. It’s a nice family setting.
My only question is best of show… the car scored 100 points and they were well aware of the owner… When is the last time a car scored 100 points? I did see the car and it was nice but there were equally nice cars all around. The bus would’ve gotten my pick!

August 4, 2008 at 8:23 am #32540jonmandudeParticipantTWO S/C Ramblers? And Both ‘A’ paint schemes? Dammit I am sorry I missed that. I love those cars. I would give my left nut for one of them. My ultimate dream car (that and a ’69 427 Yenko Nova). It looks like a great show. Thanks for posting
