So whats the first thing that pops in your mind when you think of the 80’s music many of us still love?

Is it Madonna? Springsteen? Bon Jovi? Def Leppard? Sting? Phil Collins/Genesis? Michael Jackson? Run DMC?

I’d say for me Phil Collins definetely but Springsteen had some great 80’s hits.

I also love all the one hit wonders from back then. Though I really started paying attention in the late 80’s so ROXETTE is a big favorite of mine (I believe THE LOOK came out in ’88).

    Hair Metal…
Speaking of 80’s rock, have any of you ever heard the song “1985” by Bowling for Soup? The video is awesome, it pokes fun and pays homage to all kinds of 1980’s bands, and ends with the bored housewife strippin down and dancing on top of an old Jag.

That was in the 1960s! But music did start to split in the 1980s.
Rock and Roll went one way and in the other direction was the type
of music that Michael Bolton and Whitney Houston sang.
