So you know how some cars have the wiper blades wipe in the same direction and others have them going from center to the edge of the windshield?
What determines the choice? The size of the car?

So its strictly cosmetic and no other mechanical restriction?
When both wipers are going in the same direction at the same time
the linkage is much easier to build. Also the wipers don’t have
to be “timed” so that one folds down and then the other one can
fold above it.Design plays a part too, just to be different from the other cars.
Some car have a mono-wiper, just one big one sweeping.
The Mercedes is an example.I don’t like wipers. I use products like Rain-x which work great!
You know I think I’ve noticed bigger cars and vans tend to have the opposite blade motion. Maybe they think it has better coverage on the large vehicles??

I tried one of those products like rainx that is supposed to make the rain just flow off. On my windshield it made large white streaks appear, and using the washer fluid only made it worse!

You MUST clean the glass with alcohol first. The glass must be VERY clean.
My stuff is packed up because I moved, but I think it’s called Glass Glo, or
something like that. After the glass is clean the stuff is wiped on, and later
wiped off. Two applications are required, I think.Ah, I’m going to give it a shot with Alcohol, I guess it makes sense to follow the proper procedure eh? w00t.gif Will rubbing alcohol work okay?
