Back to the 50’s weekend… not good!
I get requests like this all the time, not many people are willing to give up their car for a few hours, or haul people around in them…
Ken… as a judge at this event, you have no idea how difficult it is to judge 600+ cars in a few hours. We run around like crazy (1) trying to find the cars that are scattered all around the park (2) judge every car fairly and (3) get the judging done on time so awards can be presented before dark… If you feel that strongly about this event, volunteer to judge ~ they need many more than they have!
I guess car shows are going to have to be held during the week from now on… that seems to be the only time the sun comes out!
I posted this already, and wish them luck… a car show on Mother’s Day normally doesn’t do well. I know we will be unable to attend.

As for Automotion, the Chevelle came out of hiding this week but really needs to be cleaned up. I can’t wait, we have quite a group from the Road Apples heading up for the weekend, let’s hope the weather changes quickly in the next couple weeks!!
My thoughts on shows this year.. I only drive the Chevelle to a cruise night during the week and a show on the weekend, and it gets relatively good gas mileage. I don’t foresee filling up the tank every other week, and summers are meant to have fun ~ I’ll be darned if I’m sitting home!
