I haven’t been on in about a week or two but some days it’s slow as hell. I definitely vote for finding new servers!

I hope you mean this in the past tense since we’re on a new server now (on May 31st).. 😯

Also, if you have had any problems emailing us in the past week (ie to the address admin at wiscollectorcar.com), please send your emails again because the mail server was not working at that time. We have since corrected the problem! icon_headbang.gif

The car show submissions page is now fixed – I have no idea why because I didn’t change anything but I’m not going to ask any questions. Gentlemen, start your submissions! thumbsup.gif

I do agree the rain scared some away, it didn’t all on the west side where I work but by the time I got home the puddles were huge.

It drizzled a little here around 4-5 but after that it seemed okay. I guess it really must have been scattered showers! 😯

Hopefully no rain this week! Blue Chip Street Rods is going to be featured – they are bringing several of the cars they have done/are doing and are also going to be giving away many cash and other prizes!

Did anyone else attend Automotion? What did you think of it this year?

The car currently has a 440 in it that makes about 525-550 horsepower, and is backed by a built 727 torqueflight trasmission. I also have the ORIGINAL 383 motor

That’s good that he has the original 383, it would make it a lot easier to restore if you don’t have to try and track that down

Yes, every Friday from 6/1 – Labor Day weekend. Every Friday they have a DJ and sell dogs, brats, beer, soda also the local shops stay open late, Anderson Candy is a great place to get an ice cream and home made candy bars ect… most of the antique shops are open as well.

Saturday I’ve got a car club meeting, in Fox Lake IL. We’re planning our annual Mopars at the Park show for 6/24. I do plan on heading your direction for a number of events this year, most of my (car nut) family lives in the Sauk, Portage, Mauston triangle so madison area events work well for us to meet-up.

Great! How’s the Super Bee, any projects over the winter?

I’m thinking about going to the road apples cruise in tonight. After that I’m thinking about going a show that I submitted last night that is outside of Whitewater on the 23rd of June (I received the flyer in my car at automotion and the flyer’s details were pretty cryptic).

Did you send up going? It was sprinkling earlie tonight, did they still have the cruise?

    Specific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – A – Nice big signs entering the Dells
Parking Location – A – black top, parked 1.5 spaces which is always nice
Class Organization – N/A – I didn’t pay too much attention, it seemed fine
Trophies & Prizes – B – Its nice that they sticker the winning cars but like mentioned before they didn’t have many door prizes
Food – C – Good lemonade and food but a bit pricy and also located only on one side
Entertainment – B – Good music throughout but it was kind of tinny on those speakers at times
Judging – A – Efficient, done in the morning still
    Dash Plaque – A – nice plaque
Variety of Cars – A+ – wow, well over 1,000
Bathrooms – C – As stated the bathrooms on the lower section were few between, usually only in pairs
Weather – B – Great day but it was getting hot by the end
Trophy Presentation Timing – N/A – didn’t stay for it
    Entry Fee – B- $15
Overall Rating:A – This is one of the best shows, I really enjoyed all the cars. Several of us took photos from the show, I’m going to process them this week and get them up on the site ASAP! icon_cheers.gif

Good to hear from you 70 Super Bee! That sounds like a fun cruise night! Do they have it on a weekly basis after June 1st? Can you come to DeForest this Saturday? Now that we’re getting in June the car show season is getting into full swing icon_punk.gif

Take a look on your camera and see if it has a setting for “Auto Bracket”. What this will do is automatically take 3 shots of differing exposures right after each other. Using this technique, you could take that image and send me the 3 of them and I’ll merge them into a HDR image. The idea behind HDR is to eliminate over and under-exposure in the image. Since in the image you posted the background is overexposed but the car is just right, combining one with less exposure would even it out across the board and produce an even better photograph

That is a great shot! I think along Observatory Drive would make a cool shot looking down at the lake.
