See You Down The Road

After many years serving the classic car community, Wisconsin Collector Car will be shutting down at the end of 2024. Thank you for all of the car show memories!

I’m pretty sure that device below the sign is the Mr. Fusion unit from Back To The Future 2!

We should start a section for show and shine tips where we can talk about car show detailing, and what products we like/dislike to use on our collectors.

I think it would be very helpful to a lot of people on the forum if we were able to interact with this!

    Whaddya think?

Great idea! This could be really helpful for:
    – reviewing well-known products that most people like but those new to the hobby don’t know about yet
    – reviewing/comparing new products that come out on the market – a couple different people could try them out and report back their results

This might be the first show at Jefferson with no puddles…

Excellent lightning on that Skylark picture by the way! The angle of the photo with the highlighting of the cracks in the paint really makes for a vibrant image

Nice to see a local pharmacy increasing their presence in the area.

That is really cool to see! I like Neuhauser on Monroe St as well

But how do you really know how you compared to other vehicles without seeing the sheets from those other vehicles? How do you know what you think is something you need to fix, isn’t something that actually rated pretty high compared to other vehicles? What if you get a mid-range score and all other cars were the same or lower?

I guess I see what the goal is for asking for your sheets now (thank you all for the responses) but I think without knowledge of the other sheets, it really tells you nothing.

I see what Jon is saying – a rating of 40/100 for example may seem bad but if all cars in your class scored between 20-60 then your score wouldn’t seem nearly as bad. Really what you need is your judging sheet along with at least the average from your class (or your class and the show) to determine the curve
