Everyone I have talked to is going to the SP show on Saturday. It looks to be a great show. I will be at work. Stay cool everybody and enjoy.
jonmandudeParticipantAlways a pleasure seeing you come out Ryan.
jonmandudeParticipantI think no matter how a show is judged, someone will always feel unhappy. I think the best anyone can hope for is just be consistent and honest.
As a participant, try to remember that you drive your trophy. What others feel should mean very little. It is how your car makes you feel. A trophy or plaque will mean very little within a few days, but the pride you have in your car, and the people we all meet is what makes this hobby enjoyable. Many of us cannot afford $20K paint jobs and $15K engines. If you go to shows, odds are you will compete with those who can. That doesn’t make your car less enjoyable.
jonmandudeParticipantLooks like I missed a very nice show. I was supposed to go, but after being thoroughly disappointed with the Oregon show and needing to do some work around the house, I chose to sleep late and stay home. I received a few texts around 10:00 saying that it was shaping into a nice show.
Thanks for sharing Ryan
It is always nice to see judges that actually look over cars (and not simply talk to the owners they know personally) and judge efficiently. That is one of the things I liked so much about the Beaver Dam Swan City show.
This is one I have to try and make next year
jonmandudeParticipantYou are correct on both assumptions
jonmandudeParticipant118 to be exact Ryan. Nice pictures..as always. Some nice cars. That Chevy pickup was super nice. Good band too.
Next week is 70’s night
jonmandudeParticipantThat Pontiac “Tin Woody” wagon was amazing. The paint work was extremely nice.
Nice show, some really nice cars, great setting.
jonmandudeParticipantAnd it makes a great avatar….don’t ya think?
jonmandudeParticipantHey Ryan. Could you PM me a copy of that picture of my car with the flag behind it. i like that shot
jonmandudeParticipantNice pictures as always Ryan. Just one correction…105 cars
jonmandudeParticipantBalweg Chevrolet in Middleton has a show on Saturday too.
It is from 10-2:00, $10 entry (includes lunch) Trophies at 1:00. Brett Bielema one of the guest judges
jonmandudeParticipantI have a friend that lives a couple minutes from there. He is going early, setting up, and saving me a spot.
jonmandudeParticipantCar is all washed and detailed. Spot is already set up with a pop-up and trees. Look for me in Verona with two other Challengers and a Mopar 11 Charger…they are all faster than mine dammit
jonmandudeParticipantI think it ends this year at Texas Motor Speedway
jonmandudeParticipantLooks like a nice little show with a lot of ‘canoes’ (what I call AMC’s…made in Kenosha)
Thanks for the walk around of the SC/Rambler. I love those cars and need to buy one some day.
