Hurray for being a car enthusiast…tons of impracticle knowledge lol.

You bring up some great history with that statement about Adolf. It is amazing to think that without Hitler taking a chance on an idea that Mercedes thought as foolish, Porsche may not have ever happened. To think that Ferdinand Porsche was working for the Mercedes race team when he came up with the idea of a mid-engine air-cooled car and Mercedes told him that it was not a good idea. So Porsche went to the government to ask for funding for a “vehicle for the people” or Volkswagon. Adolf Hitler, the crazy megalomaniac, took chance a an automotive vision that Mercedes, one of the all time great car makers, wouldn’t. That vehicle became the best selling vehicle of all time, with the longest production run ever. I think they produced the Beetle for more than 35 years. And that chance that Hitler took eventually led to Porsche having money to start one of the greatest sports car companies.

There is a few different views on what this report actually says. One view says it proves that Iran has no weapons plan. Another says that they had a weapons plan but halted it in 2003. Another says this report is all speculation and really says nothing. While yet another says this report proves that Iran is gaining the technology that they can one day use to acquire weapons.

Like everything in politics it all depends on the spin and what you want to believe.

If it is all that he claims, it is worth about $15,000 to $17,000 which is probably what he will end up getting. I think $20,000 is kind of pushing it, but it does look extremely nice. I would be proud to drive it.

It is a great idea but I think they could better than $250 from each car.
With purchase price being almost $40,000 they are going to bring in $4,000,000 and donate $2,500. Wow, way to dig deep.

I gave over $1000 at my charity show two years ago, and I didn’t make anything more. Am I the only one left who thinks that you shouldn’t make a profit when you do something for charity?

Global warming hit it’s peak in 1998 (actually mid 1930’s) according to some experts. So I am off to the back yard with three cases of spray cans loaded with CFC’s. LOL

The Mopars’ value index has to do with production numbers.

Chevy had three muscle cars; Camaro, Chevelle, and Nova
Ford had two; Torino and Mustang

    and they sold millions

Mopar had many; Satellite/Roadrunner/GTX, Fury, Charger, Cuda/Challenger, Coronet, Dart/Duster/Demon/Valiant, And a whole host of variations like Superbee, AAR, T/A, and Daytona/Superbird.

With so many options the production numbers of each was lower.

But if you look at the special Fords and Chevys (The boss equipped cars or the LS-7 for example) they have equal value as most Mopars.

I am a big Nissan fan so I am with you on the GT-R, but that is a supercar not a muscle car.

It is goofy to me that the windsor engines are now getting respect. I remember back then the attitude was that windsor was crap go cleveland.

I just wish it could have waited a couple more weeks. Sven (yes that’s his name) still has to pick up the challenger and that leaves the Maxima out in the snow. I could just put the chally outside but feels wrong somehow.

Wow! Settle down guys. You’re both wrong. The 70 Chevelle with the 454 was definitely not over-rated. Nor were Mopars. No engine ever produced the raw power of the 426 Hemi. Yes maybe the Mopars were rust buckets, but then so were most of the cars from that era. Back then cars were built to last no more than 5 years….and they were lucky to last that long.

I would think we will get more answers to the question what were the most under-rated muscle cars?

    I will start with
    The Buick GS and GS-X.
The AMC Rambler Rogue and Hurst S/C Rambler
    The AMC Rebel Machine

Boy it sure did start snowing early this year. I liked last year when it didn’t snow until it was actually winter.

I know Berger was still doing stuff when the Camaro was being made. The Berger Camaro has the 427 small block out of the C5-R. There was two editions, the “basic” (LOL) and the Dick Harrell edition. With any luck they will also do something with the new Camaro.
