I disagree. I think this country is ready for a black candidate, maybe not a president but at least a candidate. If we had a better candidate than Hillary this country would be ready for a woman as well.
Times have changed and I think our country is almost diverse enough for us to start looking at candidates for their intelligence and stand and not appearance. I did say almost.
jonmandudeParticipantME!!! I think I am going to run. I just need to come up with about $60M for campaign fees. HAHAHAHA!!!
My stand;
1)More control on gas companies, no one needs to make those profits2)More control on insurance companies, for the same reason
3)Much, much more control on CEO salaries. Unless EVERYONE in your company is making at least $50k/year you cannot make more than $250K. When EVERYONE makes at least $75K then the CEO can make $300K. When EVERYONE makes at least $100K then you can make $350K etc… The average CEO salary in this country is $17M+ and the average worker salary is less than $30K. That needs to stop!!
4)Health care for EVERYONE!!!! We are the only country in the MF world that doesn’t take care of the people with a government health care system. THE ONLY ONE COUNTRY!!! WTF!!
jonmandudeParticipantObama and definitely not Hillary, the evil one, Clinton
jonmandudeParticipantI always line the garage floor with cardboard to absorb the moisture from the concrete. Then a layer a plastic sheet. Then another layer of cardboard. By spring the bottom layer of cardboard is damp and the top layer is still dry so I know it was needed.
jonmandudeParticipantWhy doesn’t the Road Apples move their Culvers night to Thursday?
jonmandudeParticipantI wouldn’t say anything Satrun. I like the Sky, of course that is just a rebadged Vaxhall
jonmandudeParticipantGuiliani
jonmandudeParticipantSo basically you say drop everything that isn’t “cool”? I am with you. My first thought was drop everything that is gutless, boxy, or just plain boring. Drop all “commuter cars” in general. Forget fuel economy and build cars with balls.
But the reality is that to the majority of the people the just want reliable, boring gas saving transportation. They don’t enjoy the cars as we do. And those subtle changes from model to model are what keeps them buying new cars. They don’t care how it performs, they only care that it has the newest gadgets.
Heck, to most people cars are disposable, It never ceases to amaze me that it is the most expensive thing you purchase, after real estate property, and people treat it like a disposable flashlight.
jonmandudeParticipantFor me it WAS thursday. The week is almost over, you deciding what show(s) to go to that weekend, and people are just more relaxed than they are during the early part of the week.
Second choice is tuesday because Road Apples and MSC have their cruise nights and both are good peeps.
jonmandudeParticipantMaybe some REAL classics, cars from before 1950. You really don’t see them anymore except in parades. And maybe some classic exotics. How about some real race cars, Formula one Lola’s and the like.
jonmandudeParticipantI love when people quote what the car “would be worth” if it was restored. What they always fail to say is that to get the car in the $30K range that it is supposedly worth, you iwll spend more than that.
jonmandudeParticipantQuote:Did you hear the latest about Chinese garbage? A toy that has a water-soluble coating on it just happens to metabolize into the same ingredient as a date-rape drug? Unbelievable. The toy that becomes GHB is Australian,
And all of this is directly related to the free trade act that sent millions of jobs offshore. It the main reason why I think Bill Clinton was a bad president. Nixon had Watergate, Kennedy had Bay of Pigs, but Clinton signed NAFTA that made it easier for business to move to cheap labor countries where no controls the business practices.
jonmandudeParticipantI absolutely love the Gremlin. That is in great shape too. Didn’t those things rust on the showroom floor?

I also find the plate very funny. I knew a guy with I8AVETT on his Viper. I think comments on plates are always tongue-in-cheek and anyone offended needs to lighten up.
mustangsrus, I thank you for the compliment and the invite. I have some thinking to do over the winter. If it takes me very long to find another job I will have to sell the Challenger. That does not mean I will be without a car, I still have my import. I now see that the way QSL treated Wisconsin Summer Cruisers was not poor communication, just disrespect.
Also Hot Rod Power Tour will probably not be stopping at Quaker Steak and Lube. They have booked an event with the Middleton Fire Dept for that day and will not have room to section off the lot for cars.

I know this is not politically correct, but I ask that everyone passes this news on and lets it be known how they do business.
If you choose to attend there next year, I hope you have a good time, but deep inside I am hurt and feel betrayed ( not by you, but by them) and hope they grow to realize that you do not treat people that way. At least I do not.
