Going to do the Hot Rod Power Tour this year. Alone with The Pony Xpress (small group of mustangs) and The Stateline Challengers. We got the motels booked already and some of us are already registered with the Power Tour. Now all we can do is wait, and hope the gas stays or drops even more.

Pardeeville on Saturday, Lake Mills on Sunday, and Janesville on Monday.

Yes Gordie Boucher Ford of Janesville Car Show Will be Mondayu September 2, 2013
Doing thing a little different this year. Still $5 to show but, there be No Classes, No Awards, there are to be Door Prizes though. There will Dash Plaques for the first 200 cars. Famous Dave’s is to the food vendor, $ 4.00 for sandwiches , not sure what else they are selling right now. Cans of soda and bottled water will be $1.00 each.
I know I’ve told people before but this is for those of you who haven’t heard this before and it has been this way since the start of their shows.. All money raised at their show goes to the Local Women’s Shelter. Not one cent has ever be taken out to cover the cost of these shows they have held.

These are interesting ideas. I don’t want this to be just a Ford or Mustang only show. Even that I only own Fords and two of them are Mustangs. I will talk with Dave and Terry @ Gordie Boucher with these ideas. I’m happy with the turn out we had.
The top 50 plan has its plus side, I mean the parking everybody would be easier with what little room we do have. That was the reason for thinking this way. Thanks everybody and keep the ideas coming.

Like I said this is an idea we have for next year. The reason for this is the parking by class ( which was by decades stock and mod.) gets messed up half way though the morning (not enough room). I think some of you might have missed the thought of have two class. 1985 and older and then 1986 and newer. Top 35 for the 85 and older and top 15 for the 86 and newer. This is still in the thinking stage. This thought was so we don’t chase anybody away from this show. I want all types of autos coming. It’s the only way we all learn about others interests. I have picked up some info about the tuners from these types of cars coming the different shows. I mean some of them are running 300 to 600hp at the wheels!
As for the water and soda running out I don’t know how this happened, I mean someone didn’t get enough for what ever the reason was. That only happened once before and that was once of the first show they had. I know that as hot as it was this will come back and bite us (them) in the back side. I want you all to know that I’m thankful to everyone that came out and I sure do understand why people left. I can’t tell everyone enough how bad I felt for the things that went wrong.
The money raise will and alway has gone to local womens shelter. Gordie Boucher Ford keeps nothing to cover their cost for this show. Now you all know why I and my wife are so into this show. I have done this show from the first show that they had and we have never won but that’s OK with us.

This is about the BEST show around. Yes there were problems. I agree with John’s statements. I will still go back next year. Jim & Vicky do a great job with this show. Lets give them a chance to get it all straighten out. Some of the problems sound that not everybody new the fine line of the classes. I know first hand that this is not the only group that has had this problem.
As for the picture posted and the one that had links to them, Thank you for posting. I was glad to see Blown69RS made the trip. I didn’t get a chance to meet him but I did talk to his better half breifly, sorry no I didn’t introduce myself. When she said that they drove their car from home I was impressed. Glad I didn’t have their fuel bill for the trip.

There was about 180 entrees. There were some that had not been here before. I’m sorry but we did have our share of problems. I want to thank all that did come and still stuck around even with the problems we had. The heat didn’t help
We are talking aready what to do different next year. Thinking about switching to a top 50 and 1 Best of Show. We don’t want to drive anybody from the show. Was thinking of splitting to do 1985 and prior, then 1986 and newer. We would do say 35 for the first group and say 15 for the second group. Please let me know what you think of this idea. This is just an idea right now, give me thoughts.

Wells of Janesville has sold two different times and now is Frank Boucher. Burnham of Beloit had been sold and move and now there isn’t a Ford dealership in Beloit at all.

I know that people weren’t happy from the first few shows but, things do change. They have added more classes. Have a total of 19 classes and best of show. Classes will be the same as last year. Please think about coming. Read last years reviews. Yes I and Everyone else know you not going to keep everyone happy but we try. It is show people judged. Sorry but that’s way it done. I can tell you my self that NO vote goes uncounted. As for only locals only winning check last years reviews. Thanks to GTO Man for posting this for us. I don’t do much posting at all so Thanks again.

I want to thank everyone that did come to the show. As for the coment the mopoerkid made in the rate the show area, I did say the he was very opinionated, and he agreed. I also said that when I read some of circletrack, ddhemi and his coments is I try to think are they that serious or am I just not understand it the way they ment it. They do get to more shows then I do so I might not see things the same way they do but, that doesn’t mean they are wrong. When anyone makes coments I do try to address them with the dealership. With the limited space they have we do try to keep classes together but in no time flat their out of space. Then we have to park where we can. My question then, would we be better to just park everybody as they get there insted? I want people leaving with a good feeling about their visit to this show. I know we (they) will not please everyone but we don’t want to make people so upset that they will never come back. There is nothing more than word of mouth that can end something faster. I do welcome everyone and even moparkid’s coments. Maybe when talking to him today I didn’t say thing very well, I didn’t mean that he was bashing shows. He did say this is the internet and not serious business so with that I think he not as harsh as it may come accross or for that matter what everyone else may say. Don’t dump the Rate the Show area, I know does help as long as no one takes it as bashing. Some times the truth hurts us. With this said I let thing go the course and hope we can work thing out with show. Again Thanks. mr_skeets

FYI: Jack Roush was in Janesville last Tuesday July 7th. Don’t know why it got on this list? Simple mistake I’m sure. Hope to be in Edgerton on Saturday. Summer is kind of screwed up with daughter getting married. Oh well that day will be here soon, then back to normal (hahaha).

Have talked to people that have gone before and it wasn’t that big of turnout. Maybe it has something to do with that Whitewater has their July 4th show the same day. Whitewater is where I’ll be. It’s their 25th annual show. Been to it for the last 3 years. There is alot going on in Whitewater all weekend long starting Friday July 3rd. checkout web site, http://www.ww4th.com/festivalschedule.html

I can’t thank you guys enough. I’m very happy with all the help.
Now for all you Roush owners, I do beleive that the ROEA (Roush Owners & Enthusiasts Association) along with FnSweet.com (The Indepent Community of Roush Enthusiasts) will have people there to answer question about anything Roush. Both do have people that can be very helpful. Check out both of there web sites ROEA=goroush.com and FnSweet=fnsweet.com .
If anyting else come up I will be sure to post it asap.
    Thanks Again
