I drove out to Spring Green this morning, and spent a couple of hours with Rob Wilkins, the owner. Let me tell you, this is a quality gentleman who knows his cars and is enthusiastic about what he is doing. He has a brand new building, with a nice showroom and a beautiful restoration area, just a block or two from the Ring Brothers facility.
I am impressed with his knowledge and appreciate the fact that there is a special place in his heart for vintage mustangs, shelbys, and old iron in general. I did look at the white 66 GT fastback, and it would make an excellent entry level cruiser and local car show car if someone is looking to get started off right. I am looking to take my fastback up a level or two, or move up with something a little nicer and we talked about a couple of possibilities. I am giving Spring Green Motors and Rob Wilkins a big thumbs up. thumbsup.gif
Rob mentioned that he and his business would be amenable to hosting and or sponsoring a car show in Spring Green if there was a group or club who wanted to put the work into setting it up and making it happen.
Circletrack, hint, hint. Do you think that the Road Apples would be interested in hosting a car show? Has the Road Apples ever done a show of their own???Marshall
