Lots and lots of cars (surprising how many are from MN and there were at least 1000 cars with for sale signs in them) and lots and lots of vendors… Cars are mixed in with the MN state fair grounds, under trees and they have a couple large lots. No rain today but it was hot and sticky (their was a breeze that helped a bit).
A couple of photos …

Mecum auction. Kinda cool to see the behind the scenes look at it. It was indoors with some pretty crappie lighting for the cars parked inside.

Great pics, looks like a fun time. Is there one central location for everything, or is it spread out all over?
It is all over the fair grounds and in some of their parking lots ….
Day 2 … I walked in at 7:30 AM (they must allow you to leave your car over night, because the roads around the park were packed). I wish I had a printed off a map because if you don’t walk down the right roads you may miss a lot with a +100 cars in it … The final count was a record breaking weekend 11,795 registered cars….

We had never been to the show before and I’ll just say it’s an amazing event and you cannot fathom the number of cars they pack in that place until you see it firsthand!!! Cars from every state, cars of every shape, size and condition. Vendors for just about anything and miles and miles and miles of cars. It was a very fun weekend!
I’m pretty sure they do not allow anyone to keep their cars in the lot overnight, but I also don’t understand how the park fills so quickly given we left the hotel at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and had to get in line for the gates to open at 6:00. We had to wait for a parking lot to empty near us before we could go and there had to be 500+ cars in the lot. When we got into the fairgrounds around 6:30 there had to easily be 2000 cars already parked.
I would highly recommend the show!
Ryan, that last pic of Blue Chip is Bruce Stewart’s car, not sure if you knew that or not.
