Just ending our day at the show. It was truly an amazing experience!! About 300 cars, not two the same. Great setting, great staff, great public viewers, great car owners. I’ll post pics some time later. There were at least four award winners from Wisconsin. Mike Spangler won his class with his AMX. Also in the AMC class a 67AMC Ambassador convertible owned by Fred Neubauer of the Dell’s won the Red Ribbon Design of Distinction award. Also winning the Red Ribbon was a 77 Lincoln Town Coupe owned by Larry Hart of Oak Creek , and my 78 Cruising Wagon!!!

I got the premo spot, in the shade and closest to the Edsel Ford House.

Judging at this show was different from most car shows . It was judged by professional car designers, both current and retired. Judging was based NOT on rarity, quality of the restoration, authenticity,or collectability of the car. It was instead judged on the basis of design character, emotional appeal, artistic excellence of the vehicle.

Congratulations on the award, well deserved. I like the idea that the judges were professional car designers. Their judging covers a different perspective.
