Has anyone been on or seen the Hot Rod Power Tour? I believe this year it is leaving from Milwaukee in early June. Last year it ended in Green Bay where the city bungled the event. It was so bad they decided to leave from a different city. Usually the leave from the city they ended in the year before. I am not sure what their destination is.

This is something I have always wanted to do but unfortunately my time schedule never agrees with the Power Tour. I want to do something like this in the future.
I figured that Hod Rod is highly organized with a good amount of coordination with local law enforcement for escorts. I figure the tickets would be less than expect.
On the other hand you have the gumball 3000, which is a no holds barred cross country rally across the US.
Each year a DVD is released covering the previous year’s race. Last year’s race had a total of 50 people arrested and fines well over $50,000 dollars in various states.
Have a look at the gumball web-site and view the movie trailers in the drive in section. It’s living on the edge in it’s purest form.

Last year’s race recorded 125 entries. People from all over the world bring their prized cars to participate. Everything from 60’s muscle to even an F1 McClaran made the voyage to Gumball.
If you go by Best Buy, there’s a DVD called Mischief 3000. It’s a documentary by two guys who participated in the 2002 Gumball. It is very interesting to watch the race and what happens behind the scenes.
