    Just FYI:

There is an interesting automobile museum which just opened up, near Wausau. It’s run by Tom Zat, formerly a SCCA racer. He’s got a lot of his old race cars there, including “Elvira”, an Alfa Romeo SSZ he built there – it’s a shade over 2000 lbs, with over 1000 hp. He’s also got a C52 Disco Volante Alfa concept car.

It’s an easy day’s drive from Madison, and well worth the trip. For extra info, visit their site:

Some very nice cars, trucks and cycles. I like the Alfa he has for sale. A nice way to spend a day.

He’s also got what I believe to be Wisconsin’s biggest dyno in his shop: 200 mph and 1000 hp, IIRC.

Tom’s nearing retirement age, so things have slowed down in his shop. But it’s still fun to see. Hopefully he gets some more photos posted soon on his website.
