    Tomorrow I head to Nashville for this years Pinto Stampede! I missed my first and only one last year due to my Alaska Adventure. Not to late to hop in your Pinto and join us. Don’t have one?You have two days to find and buy one!

    2018 Pinto Stampede Itinerary
    7/29 & 7/30 NASHVILLE, TN:

    Day 1 – July 30th, 2018
    Nashville, TN
    Highlights:
     9:00 am Pintos leave the hotel and head to the Grand Ole Opry, 2804 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.
    (Buy your tickets in advance: for Monday July 30th, 9:30 am tour- $57.00 package trio of tickets, Includes: The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium and the Johnny Cash Museum. Call 615-871-6779 for tickets, they go onsale Monday July 16th at 9:35 am Central Time. A $20 savings on individual tickets)
     11:00 am Pinto’s head to 2nd Avenue to Park for the day and visit the George Jones Museum for lunch. 128 2nd Avenue, Nashville, TN 37201
     Spend the day visiting the George Jones Museum ($17 per person, discounts for AAA, veterans, senior) Ryman Auditorium ( $31.95 unless you bought the Trio, then its included) Johnny Cash Museum ($19.95, unless you bought the Trio, then its included)
     Attend any bar or restaurant you wish until you decide to head back to the hotel.

    Day 2 – July 31st, 2018
    Nashville, TN to Etowah, TN – 210 Miles
    Highlights:
     8:00 am Travel down to Chattanooga, TN and our first stop Rock City and Lunch at Cafe 7 just over the border in Georgia (134 Miles)
     11:00 am Rock City 1400 Patten Road, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750 (Fee is $20 to enter the Park, Lunch will cost what you order, There is a package ticket deal at http://www.seerockcity.com/buy-tickets this will save you about $5.00 if you purchase the package with the Ruby Fall 2:00 pm tour, make sure you schedule the 2:00 pm tour so we are onboard)
     1:30 pm we leave for Ruby Falls (10 minute drive, Arrival around 2:00 pm, cost is $19.95 unless you purchased the package tickets)
     3:30 pm leave for the Tow Museum in Chattanooga (Another 10 minute drive, $10.00 admission fee, group rate for us at $7.00, yeh!) 3315 Broad Street, Chattanooga TN, 37408
     Then we head on to Etowah, TN for dinner and to spend the night (62 Miles, Arrival around 7:00 pm)

    Day 3 – August 1st, 2018
    Etowah, TN to Asheville, NC – 202 Miles
    Highlights:
     8:00 am, Leave Etowah to the Tail of the Dragon (60 Miles, Arrival around 9:00 am)
     10:00 am – Off to Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee for lunch and to stretch our legs. (52 Miles, Arrival around 12:00 pm)
     2:00 pm- Cherokee to Asheville, NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway where we spend the night in Asheville (90 Miles 2.5 hours, Arrival around 6:00 pm)

    8/1 ASHEVILLE, NC:

    Day 4 – August 2nd, 2018
    Asheville, NC to Concord, NC – 196 miles ( about 5.1 hours)
    Highlights:
     8:00 am Head down to Charlotte area to visit the NASCAR Hall Of Fame and Lunch (132 Miles, Arrival around 12:00 pm, lunch packages and tickets included, good savings on tickets at http://www.nascarhall.com/tickets otherwise a $34 general admission) 400 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.Charlotte, NC 28202
     Then on to the Hotel to check in (20 Miles, Arrival around 3:30 pm)

    8/2 & 8/3 CONCORD, NC

     7:00 pm we go to Southern Grace Distilleries for a night time tour and tasting of a Distillery inside an old prison. (22 Miles, Arrival 7:30 pm) Tour at 7:45 pm, $10 night time tour and tasting, 130 Dutch Rd, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124
     Then back to the Hotel to rest up (22 Miles, Arrival, 9:30 pm)

    Day 5 – August 3rd, 2018
    Concord, NC
    Highlights:
     8:30 am- we head out to Roush Fenway racing and visit the museum and the facility. 4202 Roush Place Concord, NC 28027 (Free)
     10:30 am-we head out to Penske Racing, 200 Penske Way, Mooresville, NC 28115 (Free)
     12:00 pm Lunch near I-77 in Moorseville NC. Lots to choose from (Cracker barrel, Chick Fil A, Panera, etc. etc.)
     1:30 pm North Carolina Racing Hall of Fame 119 Knob Hill Road, Mooresville NC 28117 ($6.00 admission)
     4:30 pm- Then at night it is off to Food Truck Friday at the Cabarrus brewing Co. where we will park amongst the food truck, have our own private room at the brewery and eat and listen to music and finish off another great Stampede talking and spending time together.

    So far so good! We are having a ball! May not post oics till we get back home. Tomorrow tail if the Dragon. Weather forecast is 100 percent rain!

    This is the 8th year of the Pinto Stampede.The first two days in Nashville were hot,but dry. One of the TV Stations came down and did a couple of news stories on us.
