There are two shows being held at the VFW this summer. Lance’s show is August 23, I remember Belinda posting that. The other show is hosted by the VFW and has nothing to do with clubs, just a benefit for the VFW to raise money for improvements.
June 5, 2009 at 2:30 am #34623AnonymousInactiveThe benefit show for Belinda will be in conjunction with Lance’s show, so that would make it definitely August 23d.
Do you have any further info on the other (the new) VFW show. I would be interested in knowing when the show is, whether it’s a judged show or show and shine, and any other info that might be available. It would be great to get to another car show that is close by and in our town.

October 28, 2009 at 4:09 am #34626moparkid25ParticipantI’m not sure how many WCC members are on Facebook, but as of late there is some info being passed around the web regarding Jim Caudle, and I felt the people here should be made aware of it.
Now, I saw the info from ddhemi’s page posted by Lance Peterson, and I personally don’t believe a word that comes out of his mouth. The info thats been posted in some status updates is saying that Jim never had cancer, and that it was a hoax. Like I said, I can’t verify how good the info is because you can’t believe anything Lance Peterson says or types up like a 3rd grader. It could be a pissing match between two grown men for all I know, but with all the embezzlement, cheating, throat cutting, and theft going on with non-profit organizations lately (especially around WI) I think someone close to the source should get involved.
Though I am no fan of Lance, I know many people who attended this event to help someone in need. I am glad to call many of them my friend, and as those who are my close friends know, I watch out for all of my friends.
I don’t mean to be “that guy”, but I know if I found this out after I donated time, door prizes, or money to find out I got took, I’d be pissed off. I hope those in charge of the rumor machine pay for there sins

I was talking with an aquaintance of mine today that knows Jim Caudle. I made mention of recent events and asked what he thought. He did confirm that Jim is sick, but getting the help he needs and is doing everything he can to earn a speedy recovery. This was good to hear!
I wont get into other details, mainly because they are not my business nor anyone elses.
I find it amusing that when things or life changing experiences don’t go Lance’s way, he would have the audacity to act so childish by claiming someone’s illness is a hoax. A person’s life is no joke. Just goes to show the character of Lance Peterson. I’ve said he was a scumbag before… If you want to read his posts, here is a link to his Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=661910472&ref=nf#/profile.php?id=1461227013&v=wall
With an attitude like this, I can’t imagine why he went out of business…. 3 times.
November 6, 2009 at 5:57 pm #35661Eclipse_TunerParticipantI’ve been in touch with Jim as well, and have a very hard time believing it was a hoax. I’ve had cancer, I know the process and what the treatments do to a person…so if it was a hoax, he’s a hell of an actor.
I have a feeling there is a bit of a pissing match between the two of them, since they have a bit of bad blood.
At this point, its all speculation and none of my business, nor of my concern.
However, IF it was a hoax or someone on either side has been falsifying things…then Im going to be a bit unhappy considering the time, artwork and resources I’ve donated to their events this year.

His page is locked and I don’t think I want to ask an alledged douche for friend status. Pretty bad when people have to resort to douchery.
November 9, 2009 at 11:31 am #34521AnonymousInactiveGeeze, if this guy put this much effort into his private life he wouldn’t have all these issues in his public life.
What a douche.
December 3, 2009 at 8:41 pm #34522AnonymousInactiveI have worked long & hard on the benefit for Jim believing that he had cancer. It was a lot of time spent putting the benefit together. But, I have seen the paper work that can prove that Jim does not have cancer. Yes, he is sick, but it is not my place to say what he has.

December 4, 2009 at 5:42 pm #35751Eclipse_TunerParticipantAfter getting more information, I can confirm as well, that we were duped. Jim did not have cancer, he is a bit sick, but the fact of the matter is that he did not have cancer.
Weather you are a friend of Lance’s or not is completely irrelevent in this matter. Yes Jim was sick, No he did not have cancer, and yes, the benefit was unfortunatly a bit pointless.
Apparently he was a pretty good actor and did a little cancer research to try to pull that off. I will not dilvulge the reasons why he chose to do this, as it not really public concern.
December 4, 2009 at 6:16 pm #35752AnonymousInactiveThe good news through all of this is that he “DID NOT” get the cash to spend as he pleased as was done with the first benefit that was held for him.
December 5, 2009 at 8:42 pm #35760moparkid25ParticipantWell, whether the guy is sick with cancer or sick with something else – I’m glad I didn’t donate squat.
On the other hand, I have my suspicions that others were behind this hoax whether he admits it or not.
