What options would you prefer on your windows? Automatic or manual up and down, tinting, ect ect.

Automatic and tint. AUtomatic is just something I am use to and appreciate and very dark tint because I do not like people looking at me in traffic or looking into my car.

I like automatic too, it makes it easier if you have to roll it up or down while driving, rather than trying to bend over to reach the handle. 😉 Tint is good as well, although I can live without it as well.

My car has electric front windows and manual rear ones. There might be a very slight tint to the windows, but not much. I would like some tinted windows. The main thing about my windows is that they are UV reflective… But I drive so much that my face and arms are very tanned anyway!

That’s another good option, I’m happy you mentioned it. UV reflection is so important when you drive a lot, otherwise you’ll get sunburned quite easily IN YOUR CAR! icon_eek.gif

My T-Bird has power windows but I’ve never really cared for them.

The reason is because they always seem to get slower and slower!

Today maybe they are more reliable, but years ago they weren’t.

A power window on the passenger side would be good in my trucks.

I suppose I’m just used to having unreliable accessories
    in my older vehicles.

BTW, I’d NEVER want power door locks!!! (even though the T-Bird has them)

I can understand your fear of power door locks. The one time it would be advantageous is if you have that OnStar service where they can unlock your car for you if you lock your keys in your car.

    Whoa…… That’s toooooo spooky!!! icon_eek.gif icon_eek.gif

I don’t want ‘them’ diddling around from a distance!!!

    But you’re right, that’s where we’re headed.

Actually, when I listen to the police scanner, they are ALWAYS
responding to calls to unlock people’s cars!!!

    That’s sad.

With my newer cars I like power windows. They have gotten pretty much trouble free.

One of the older cars we had was a ’73 Buick Centurion convertible
and the windows took about a week to lower and raise!

With newer motor and hardware designs the problem might
    be solved, like you said.

The ’93 T-Bird’s windows are okay if they’re perfectly clean, with
no dirt to hinder the operation.

Power or Manual, dosen’t really make a difference but what does to me are those vent windows back in 70 or older cars. The NEED to come back with those.

    YES!!! icon_biggrin.gif

    Those were cool………….literally!!!

Turn them backwards and get a blast of cool air.

Too bad all of the cars were belching smoke back then.
With the blast of cool air came a face full of soot too!!! icon_sad.gif
