Seeing that it is going to be another wonderful cold weekend I thought I would post some food for thought.

If you magically had a new 4 car garage appear on your property what 4 cars would your put in it (it doesn’t have to be any of your current rides).

The second twist (if you want to do it this way) is to post links to cars that are already for sale (assuming you know it is the one you want and you are not worried about inspections). Again this second option, is optional.

Ok for me I would still stick with the Bug for one spot. My picks will be semi budget picks (I’m not picking +100K cars, because I don’t ever see my self buying such a car, but you can)

The second spot would be for 60’s mild muscle car (4 doors is fine) but it would have to have air ride suspension and custom wheels:

Next would be for a Rat Rod/Hot Rod; even one that needed a little work:

Finally I would look to the future and pick up a tuner:

For me the number one slot will be a 1969 Hurst S/C Rambler with the “A” paint scheme. I have always loved these cars. From the paint to the uniqueness to the monster torque in a light Rambler Rogue chassis.

Number two is the ultimate dream car for me that I will never be able to afford, a 1969 Yenko Nova with the dual quad 427. With only 26 or so made and only 8 known to exist anymore, I doubt I will ever make enough to buy one. Of course if I win the lottery….

Number three is a Nissan Skyline GT-R. Either an R34 V-spec or a new one. It is such a monster car and truly a supercar.

Number four would probably be a 1970 or 1971 Challenger. I don’t care which engine, there are so many to choose.

My first choice would have to be another ’68 or ’69 Dodge Charger R/T. I’ve had a infactuation with these cars since I was young. I just turned 27 in January, and can say I have been lucky enough to have owned two very nice Chargers so far in my life. Right now with new business ventures it’s not in the cards to go drop a decent amount of cash on another one, but I look forward to purchasing another one in the next couple of years.

Next would be a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. I’m not a Ford guy, but I like that car. My dad had one brand new when he was in high school and it was identical to the one Steve McQueen drove in ‘Bullitt’.

Next would be a 1973-1980 Chevy truck. When I was a kid, the old man had a ’74 that was black and chrome (just like everything else he drives nowadays-his dodge truck, his volvo semi, and his harley) with a 454. I remember crying as a young tyke because my thumbs weren’t strong enough to push the button on the outside door handles to open the doors. It was just cool.

Last would be a late 80’s or early 90’s Chevy IROC Z28 Camaro with the 5.7 TPI. I always wanted one of these! Easy bolt on hotrods, fuel injected, and has nice lines. All the cool guys in the generation ahead of me had these and always had good looking babes in the passenger seats!

For me, #1 pick would be a new Nissan GT-R in Competition Silver. For a 80k Nissan to shut down 200k Porsches, that GT-R is pretty special. Plus I’ve always been a fan of the GT-R bloodline.

#2 would be a 1971 Dodge Challenger RT Hurst package in Plum Crazy Purple. My dad used to have one, and it is still one of the hottest muscle cars ever…the lines and proportions are perfect, and had balls to back it up.

#3 I cant resist, a McLaren F1-GTR Longbody LM Edition in Sunset Orange. Fantastic lines and style, insane performance, and still engineered better than a Veyron. Not to mention arrowhead seating just rocks.

#4 Would have to be a car/project that Im in the design stages of. Its a hotrod with a modern twist (think Foose concept). Traditional open wheel style with subtle swooping rear fenders that have Toyota Solaris tailights graffted into them, and a curvy canopy, perhaps off of a 3rd gen. Eclipse. Pointed snout with hidden headlights. Entirely skinned in silver carbon (texalium).

#1 1971 SS Monte Carlo. Ls 5 365 horse 454 and only 1919 made. Perfect complement to my 70 SS Monte. http://www.firstgenmc.com/album/CapriB/CapriB.shtml

#2 1937 Cord front wheel drive, supercharged, hidden headlights. Stand out in any crowd. http://www.cantonclassiccar.org/featured/3.htm

#3 1954 Kaiser Darrin the other two seat fiberglass American made sports car. Doors slide into the fenders. http://www.sunbeltcars.com/kaiser_darrin.htm

#4 I have to agree with Jonmandude on the S/C Rambler. I did get a chance to drive one back in the late 80’s and have had a soft spot in my head for them ever since. I also like the A paint better than the B. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2244449

That is the ‘B’ paint scheme. The ‘A’ is much more ….bold shall we say?

I am in agreement on the 1969 Mustang Mach 1. Without a doubt, these cars are my favorite cars of all time, in any color.

I am also a fan of the 970 Oldsmobile convertible. It wouldn’t have to be a 442 for me, but I really like that car, too.
