At least one tuner class should be in all types of shows. The class A and B shows should start to have it split up depending on attendance the previous year if applicable.

This could be quite huge actually. If/when I have some free time this week, I’ll add my 2 cents to it.

We’re all pretty knowledgable about cars and car shows here…Perhaps we should create a judging standard that the local car shows could adopt. If you have ever seen the judging sheets from the Beaver Dam show, they are pretty solid..but even those could use some work.

I think there definatly needs to be a modern muscle class, especially as more late model Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, etc. are on the streets. This helps prevent those cars from being judged with original muscle era cars, and separates them from the tuner/import scene.

I also think there needs to be a late model tuner class. And putting years on the class is a must…I have been to too many shows where there are 1950’s super customs competing against late model tuners; they are 2 completely different genres! (both equally valid and cool…but still completely different). And if an organization is concerned about the SPL/AV crowd that has the huge stereos, make it a known rule that stereos must be off during the show.

We’re at a time now where the tuner crowd needs to be included in local car shows. The popularity of the genre (media, video games, film, etc) makes it a stepping stone for young people to get involved in the car scene.

Armory for me. Ive been in contact with the Sgt. putting on the show, and he’s really taking our feedback to heart and making changes where necessary, so it should be a really good show.

Its also going to be the wife’s debut car show with her new weekend car (2005 Nissan 350Z Touring Roadster convertable…bright metallic yellow).

That thought crossed my mind right away, so the filter is new and clean, and the maf is clean and functioning correctly.

I have an adjustable fpr, and fuel delivery isnt an issue. But I will investigate the injecter pulse as well as the timing advance.

It doesnt feel like a fuel issue though based on how the car behaves during the misfire. If I breathe the throttle a bit and get back into it, the misfire will stop.

Its a pretty cool build. Nice to see more people swapping across genres.

Ill be heading to my favorite car show of the year : Beaver Dam.

This is by far my favorite show, nice location, knowledgable judging, huge assortment of cars…

It looks like that played a big part in it. The simple fact of the matter was that dealership networks were simply too bloated. This was a change that was going to happen one way or another.

On the plus side for GM and Chrysler, waiting until they were in bankruptcy court was a financially smart move for them…as it allows them to trim brands and their dealerships without financial backlash.

However, it royally royally screwed the hard working employees at the dealerships. Basically the employees became victims of circumstance due to poor management by the leaders of the 2 companies.

Do I feel sorry for GM or Chrysler…not at all. They set themselves up to fail for the past 20 years.

But I do feel bad for the employees that are now the outcost. This was no fault of theirs.

I didnt head out at all this weekend…after seeing the weather I stayed home and finished rebuilding the heads and got the car running. Hopefully its good to go for the weekend.
