jonmandudeParticipantI will be meeting up with some of the club-cow guys and going to the Quaden all Mopar show on Sunday.
jonmandudeParticipantActually, I don’t mind the “stuff sticking out of the hood”, it is the rims that I do not care for.
jonmandudeParticipantLooks like a nice show, with a lot of vehicles that you don’t see at others.
Was that a Cosworth Vega? I haven’t seen one of those in years. Do you have any more pictures?
jonmandudeParticipantWell, the 2012 season is under way. Jefferson and Automotion are in the books. We have had 4 Cruise nights so far.
First one was bad weather but still had 14 people come out with the threat of bad weather.
Next two were 52 and 61 cars.
Tonight we had horrible winds and a threat of storms (that went around us), still 39 cars. Some I haven’t seen before (like a really nice 68 Dart).
Bands start soon and I hope to see some you come out once or twice.
jonmandudeParticipantIt sounds to me like this show has grown beyond their ability to handle. It is a great show, hence why it has grown so well, but I don’t think they ever expected it to get this big. It sounds like they want it to get smaller and more manageable. By creating year restrictions and increasing police presence, they appear to be hoping that it will shrink the show without hurting the show. I wonder, if they continue to have issues, if the show will be another great event of the past, like World of Wheels in Madison from years ago.
jonmandudeParticipantHere’s a few cell phone pics too

jonmandudeParticipantIsn’t that pretty much what killed the World of Wheels show in Madison many years ago. I remember when the WoW show would come, we would all line East Washington Avenue and it was a great time. Then the government decided that we were all having too much fun and started ticketing everyone for anything. I once got a ticket for getting into a vehicle thru the window. The officer stated that I “rode a block out of the window”. We were at a stoplight and not moving. But I was 17 and I could not have done anything but accept it. Many of the tickets were BS. Now that show, and all of the revenue it brought the city are gone.
If the Dells continues to “crack down”, will Automotion slowly disappear too?
jonmandudeParticipantThat Chevelle was very nice…and it sounded nice too. It was a nice night and a good start to the season.
jonmandudeParticipantThe Club Cow cruise night is not on Mondays or at Texas Roadhouse. I guess it got moved. It is now Thursdays at Wegners Cedar Lake Inn, in Hartford.
Club Cow is a Modern Mopar website. They had a cruise yesterday (in the rain), and mentioned the cruise night change.
jonmandudeParticipantAnother Jefferson weather weekend. It rains in the spring and is a dust bowl in the fall. It sucks because it is such a big show and starts the season.
jonmandudeParticipantNot for me. Besides the cheese factor, I see that causing scratches. I would rather dry my car or let it be wet.
jonmandudeParticipantTomorrow can be “Day of the Rat” 4/27. or “Day of the SOHC”
Followed by “Cobra Day” (4/28) and “Super Cobra Day” (4/29)March can have “Mouse Day” 3/27
jonmandudeParticipantThey are from a company named 3G Customz. The parts are basic and have to be trimmed to fit properly, then painted.
