Heading to a Buick show in Stockton, IL on Saturday.
moparkid25ParticipantI watched the hearing last night. Looks as if our elected officials may see this bill as a total waste of time also.
moparkid25ParticipantAttorney’s will be involved in this on the side of the carriers. MPD can’t continue to write Disorderly Conduct citations to people who are not breaking the law.
moparkid25ParticipantI won’t be able to make the hearing tomorrow
moparkid25ParticipantI don’t know what the actual car count was, but I was #739 to register.
moparkid25ParticipantThere was hail? I got home about 2:45 this morning and it was just starting to sprinkle. Car got wet as I waited to get out and open the garage until a skunk disappeared into the corn field
moparkid25ParticipantI have posted the link for the petition on another forum I belong to for WI auto enthusiasts. I know at least 5 other guys have signed it in the two hours since originally posted.
I will share it on my favroite Buick site this evening.

moparkid25ParticipantI’m doing the Beloit doubleheader next weekend. Crimestoppers cruise night on Saturday night, then back again on Sunday for the show
moparkid25ParticipantPlease post the date. I will attend.

If he doesn’t hold a public hearing, and the law does go into effect, whats the next step? Do you involve the Feds?
moparkid25ParticipantHere is what I sent to Holperin:
Senator,
I am emailing you to ask that you do not allow Trans 123 to pass without a public hearing. Many residents of Wisconsin share an interest in the preservation of imported and historic military vehicles. By passing a law that does not allow them to be licensed on public highways and/or driven takes away the rights put forth by the federal government. And with that, such vehicles like any other require maintenance, repair, and restoration. This will eliminate jobs within the automotive industry. Do we really need to eliminate more jobs when there is already not enough to go around??
We cannot allow the DOT to dictate over Federal Laws. Please help out those people who elected you to office, and fight Trans 123.
moparkid25ParticipantPlatteville for me. Always a good turnout down there
moparkid25ParticipantSounds like a good way to kill a sunday. Thought about driving out there, but had a lot of work to keep me busy at home instead. Maybe next year…
moparkid25ParticipantThere’s a couple of national compaines that travel thru WI. Reliable Auto carriers and Muscle Car Transport are two popular companies with nice equipment.
Cost should be the buyers problem, not yours
