    I was just wondering.

On one of the other forums that I frequent (Vintage Mustang Forums, VMF), a poster was ranting and raving about buying and selling on craigslist. Low and behold, I find that we have one here locally.

I found a 1967 Ford Galaxie convertible in Montello that I have taken an interest in. Allowing for the seller to contact me this weekend, I plan to drive up and take a look at it.

I haven’t spent alot of time on craigslist, but so far, I am pretty impressed with what I have seen.

I have seen the Shelby-Mustang Clone, and quite frankly, it doesn’t do anything for me, and I also think it’s extremely overpriced, but to each his own. I am reminded frequently by others that “its your car, do what you want”.

Several years ago when I started on my Mustang journey, I wasn’t concerned about OE, NOS, year correct, or concourse restorations. I did what I liked with the car. I have turned that corner now and actually going in the direction of OE, NOS, year correct. It all has to do with future values of the car and the fact that I just like factory stock muscle cars. So, when I see a recreation, or clone of a car that actually never existed, I lose interest pretty quickly.

I have see this car on the road in the Madison area and it has been sporting “For Sale” signs in the windows for many months.

This may be a dumb question but what do they mean by a roller? If its an actual GTO it may not be a bad project car.

A 10-disc CD changer was added to the trunk of the vehicle as well as a retro style stereo added into the dash (the original dash was not changed/modified during installation).

The quote above is from the blue 66 mustang. In regards to the speakers/stereo in the trunk, what is the common reason that people put those in their cars? Is it mainly for use when tailgating or sitting at car shows? Does it have its own power source? In the case of this mustang, which has a 10 disk cd changer in the trunk, can that equipment also be used from the drivers seat, or is it just for external use?

    1971 Chevelle – $15400

1971 2 door 350/350 Chevelle Malibu turn key survivor. This car has 80,000 original miles, all within southern California. The vehicle was built in the Van Nuys plant in southern California and had never left until now. As seen in photos, car is cortez gold, with black stripes. This car is complete, it still has the bumper jack, trunk mat, and bumper guards. The car has an original working cowl induction hood, 12 bolt with factory rear sway bar, power disk brakes, A/C, buckets, and dual flowmaster exhaust. Uninstalled parts with the car include a complete full gauge SS dash with harness, and an original dual gate floor shifter with counsel and linkage. The bad about the car is that it has sun damaged paint, and very minor rust repair (total rust area on the car is about the size or a dollar bill). Asking $15,400. phone: 608-455-7070

Looks like the cars are coming out for spring. THat is a nice looking Chevelle. The Mustang is up to $8800 and is just about done. It hasn’t met it’s reserve. I would assume that he Fairlane has a 6 in it.

    Circletrack,

Is the asking price on the Cortez Gold 1971 Chevelle (posted above) about where it should be or do you think it is overpriced?
