What’s the going rate for gas in your part of the world? Currently this is what I am seeing in the Houston area.
87 octane – $2.09/gallon
91 octane – $2.15/gallon
93 octane – $2.22/gallonI filled up last Thursday and it cost me $29.00 to fill up the tank in the Mustang, which is the highest I have ever paid. The way my motor has been tuned I have no choice but to use 93 octane. When I filled up that day there was a Hummer H2 behind me and I can tell from the owner’s face he was dreading the final tally. He filled up on 87 octane and when everything was said and done he had to fork over $50.00.
The sad thing was that he will probably have to fill up again in a couple of days.

Regular – 2.45
Midgrade – 2.55
Premium – 2.65Prices have started to creep up again, probably will be over 3.00 this summer.
Hopefully we’ll have some more shows closer to home, with those gas prices its hard to drive classics very far

Regular unleaded – 2.59
Midgrade – 2.69
Premium – 2.79Racing fuel stays stable at 4.50 to 5.00.
89.9p/litre here for standard unleaded ($5.97/US gallon).
Likewise when I see US prices, just in the opposite way!
87 – $2.69
89 – $2.81
91 – $2.91It just went up overnight to 90.9p/litre at the local Tesco station, so that’s now about $6/US gallon.

Well, we’re motorists and we’re killing the planet. We’re pure evil. We drive for a hobby, all the time, and petrol is a luxury item, so we get taxed heavily.
Nobody really needs to drive in the UK – the government would prefer it if we used their outstanding public transport systems. Just to be clear – that statement has been soaked in sarcasm, then dished up with sarcasm seasoning and a side order of sarcastic salad.

Well I guess one point is the UK is smaller than the US, but still of course its nice to have your freedom of movement – that independence is priceless
