Made it bacK home this morning at 10:30.I left West Virgina at 7am Sundasy morning. My friend Jim from Rockford caravaned back to Il. We skipped the interstate for the first 150 miles or so taking US50 through the mountians.WHAT A DRIVE ! The morning was cool about 50, but by the time we hit Ohio it was in the 90’s.Neither one of us have a/c.The heat was too much for one of my 2 year old Cooper Corbras. A belt seperated and I was lucky I felt it and pulled over.A spot had worn through the steel cords and would have not lasted much longer. The trouble is the tire is discontuned , so I will have a hard time to find a replacment.Attachments:

An Amazing day yesterday!! First offical day of the Stampede. The day started out in Stuart Va at the Wood Brothers original garage and museum. Then on to Martinsville speedway and ten plus laps of fun.New we had lunch in South Boston where we were greeted by a local street rod club. One of the members knew the manager of South Boston Speedway just up the road. We arrived at the track unannounced and got to do several laps there as well. Then on to Richmond and finally Fredricksburg for the night.14 hours on the road 300 plus miles.Attachments:
