Quote:I did the Tasting Room event today. Kind of a disappointment from a car person standpoint. There was no parking reserved and the event was about cigars and only cigars. I did see a few people stop in with nice cars. The ’59 Austin-Healy bug-eyed Sprite was so damn cool. From a cigar lover point of view, it was absolutely amazing. I have been to a few cigars events and they are usually the same old boring “our cigars are made this way” and “our cigars are better than the others because…” this was not. Yes it was about a particular brand of cigar, but it was more of an offering of their particular cigar. It was nice to meet THE person that came up with this certain cigar and watch him roll cigars. He is truly an artist.
I do applaud the owner of The Tasting Room and the people from NUB Cigars for trying something different. It is nice to see someone outside of the car hobby actually try.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! It is somewhat of a challenge to combine those two hobbies so the response they received IMO is a good success.

This camaro was originally tan – the power of photo manipulation I thought the purple was a more interesting contrast so I changed just that part of the image. I bet this is the car you’re thinking of
This image was only modified by bringing out the details more – as Marshall said it is stock and that’s how it looked at DeerfieldGaribaldiKeymasterHere are some more photos from the show:
Deerfield Car ShowGaribaldiKeymasterGreat photos! I like the angles on some of those with the focus on the grass looking up at the vehicles!
GaribaldiKeymasterFantastic Photos! I especially like the panoramas! The one of the purple hot rod and Circletrack’s Chevelle almost look like you were using a fisheye lense which has a neat effect!
GaribaldiKeymasterI’m not sure if I’ll be going to one this weekend. Saturday in the Park though next weekend
GaribaldiKeymasterMarshall, is that the one featured in your avatar?
GaribaldiKeymasterDeerfield and Verona for me, two great shows close to home!
GaribaldiKeymasterSounds like fun! Thanks for posting the info!
GaribaldiKeymasterI like having these video summaries of the shows! It is really a good way to remember them in addition to photos
GaribaldiKeymasterI wonder what the car looked like after the crash?
