Did you notice that Mecum Auctions telecast on TV, both live and delayed, are no longer on NBCSN? This network, NBCSN, is no longer broadcasting. It looks like Mecum will be on MotorTrend TV, which used to be Velocity TV, which used to be the Speed Channel.
GunnerParticipantThat 69 GTX sold for $95,550. Wow!!!! I’ve never been a fan of that color Limelight Metallic, but the car itself was awesome!!!
GunnerParticipantI love the colors of that Oldsmobile 442 convertible. I am probably out of touch with prices on the collector car market these days, but $85K seems to be high for this car, but then again, maybe not. I always remember that the real value of any car is what a buyer is willing to pay.
GunnerParticipantThere was a late arrival, in my class, just before registration closed, that was numbered 533.
GunnerParticipantAnd, I can’t forget about the several hundred Challenger, Charger, Dodge Ram, and Jeep entries:

Saturday, July 3d, 2021 Lake Leota Park, Evansville, WI
GunnerParticipantThe dude driving that car looks like someone I know.
MOPAR’s don’t get any better than a 1970 Roadrunner with the A12 option, big block, 4 speed car.
GunnerParticipantSaturday’s hammer prices were outrageously high for everything crossing the block.
GunnerParticipantI completely agree. With a statewide population estimated (by DNR) at 1200, I didn’t think that the herd needed to be thinned out.
GunnerParticipantSome bargains early on (the first day). The quality cars were bringing reasonable money. Seems there were many, many internet and telephone bidders at this auction. Happy that the auctions are back up and running again. Barrett-Jackson auctions are now televised on FYI, channel and History channel as opposed to the MTV channel. Mecum is still on NBCSN.

GunnerParticipantI didn’t go up to the Dells show, but I did attend the Dodge County Swap Meet/Car Show, just outside Beaver Dam, at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. This was on Sunday. The car count at this show was 162 registered vehicles, the best turnout this show has ever had. The swap meet was like a small Jefferson swap, with about 40 vendors or so. The swap meet is a two day deal (Saturday and Sunday). The car show is on Sunday. Well run show, and free admission for show cars! This was my first time at this show, and was impressed. I will go back to this show again next year.
GunnerParticipantSomebody needs to call the police and report a theft. Somebody stole half of their car.
GunnerParticipantHere’s the FB info on this show:
