Very interesting insights into where we will be (as a hobby) in five years
GunnerParticipantOr, you don’t know what it means to lose if you drive a MOPAR…..

GunnerParticipantWalmart is another badly run business…..

GunnerParticipantWells Fargo has been on my radar screen (in a very negative way) for many years. I can remember hearing about Wells Fargo foreclosing on mortgages of soldiers who were deployed overseas and evicting the family members left behind -and this was a far back as 15 to 20 years ago. I don’t believe they have gotten any better in recent times.
GunnerParticipantWelcome to the forum Joe.
There was a pair of Ford GT’s that showed up for the ProClip car show this past year in McFarland (benefit show for the Dane County Humane Society). Both of these cars were from the Madison area.
GunnerParticipantThat’s Meth’d Up…

GunnerParticipantAnother collector car doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen in the near term. I don’t mind sharing my financials……
GunnerParticipantGood one, I had forgot about being retired.
But, I know firsthand, it’s not all a bed of roses being retired. Being retired is not always easy – you’re always retired and never get a day off. That’s really hard on a guy!
GunnerParticipantI’m gonna try and watch a portion of the Mecum Auction on TV. I like to preview the cars online on Mecum’s website before the auction, and follow a few across the auction block to see how close I was to the actual auction price. Lately, I’ve been following Plymouth Dusters and Dodge Demons (1970 – 1974). Turns out, these cars are now pretty rare and bring big money at the auctions.
GunnerParticipantThe American Legion post is only about 5 miles SE of Evansville on 213. Actually, not a bad drive from Madison.
GunnerParticipant“I don’t like blowing my own horn, but when it comes to cool cars in Mt Horeb I’m kind of a big deal. In the end, the car that won first place was farther from being stock than my car with radial tires on it.”

GunnerParticipantSpring Green upped their price of admission to $20, and reduced the number of awards and the quality (size) of the awards. I did not patronize the Spring Green show this year, for those reasons. Admittedly, it is a good show, but not that good. I don’t see me returning to that show in years to come.
I’m not a trophy hunter, so I can’t speak with any authority about the custom made trophies. I did attend several shows this year that handed out custom made trophies, and I thought they were very well done, and unique. The MATC show comes to mind. I did admire the piston trophies awarded at the Cranked, Inc. car show in Janesville. The pistons were color powder coated and mounted on nice wood bases with engraved plates, and looked really nice.
Regarding the radial tires issue at the Springdale Church Show – just about every car in the stock class was running radial tires instead of bias ply tires
GunnerParticipantMen say this all the time. So, let’s be clear on the true definition. What’s the difference between “guts” and “balls”?
