jonmandudeParticipant
I always like to start as soon as I can. I hope early April. I will stop in to the restaurant this weekend and get the dates and themes for this year and post.
jonmandudeParticipantit is a “cruise-in”…not show. There is no trophies, no classes, no attitudes. Just people getting together sharing their love of cars….with live music and drink specials
jonmandudeParticipantIt is really hard to change times or days midseason. It tends to cause confusion.
That said, it does demand some thought. I know a few have asked about it, so I really have to consider it. I know at that time of year, we all still want to enjoy our cars before putting them (grrr) away for winter and we have so few options.
jonmandudeParticipantThere are many that make my skin crawl. Minivans, Prius’, but I think what makes my skin crawl, I mean really makes me sick, is a nice looking car like a Mustang, or Challenger or Corvette or Porsche covered in nasty, ugly white crusty salt.
jonmandudeParticipantBesides Prius’?
jonmandudeParticipantPaint the hub caps red, paint the rest in black primer…..tada! Hot rod
I guess
jonmandudeParticipantI have gone to that site a few times. Fun stuff
jonmandudeParticipantVery cool! Love it.
jonmandudeParticipantIt’s all done now. No more fake carbon fiber, now it’s all fake wood. haha
Door pulls
Dash, and console
jonmandudeParticipanta company called Hydro Graphics Inc in Newburg, OR. They do all of the helmets for NCAA football teams. I took a chance on a company that seems to be well established.
jonmandudeParticipantThat’s funny
jonmandudeParticipantReceived a few photos of my interior pieces that are off being “hydro-dipped”.
The original quote was 7-10 days. They received the parts on January 2nd, and called me that afternoon. They said the parts would be done that following week. That week came and went. Then they said the following Monday or Tuesday. Nope. Then they said they wanted to “touch up some spots they weren’t happy with, so the next week. Nope. Then on Thursday I was told they were going in to clear that afternoon and would be shipped out Friday. Nope.Today, I decided to ask them to post some pictures on their facebook page. To my surprise, I received a message only minutes later “we are working on them now, will post”. About an hour later, pictures got posted.
The wait is no problem, they look amazing
It’s hard to believe that is a “printing process” and not real wood. I may have to find more parts for them to do.
jonmandudeParticipantIt is always difficult with customs. Trying to find that rare buyer, with money, who likes your vision, is hard. I think they got good money on two of their cars (the 70 and the 67), and actually they did fairly well on the 2007 too. That car is not very modified, just paint and bolt ons.
jonmandudeParticipantI see his Corvette went for $360K
jonmandudeParticipantHis Deuce went for $137K
The Corvette is later.
I see our local Ring Brothers have 3 cars in the auction too
