Saturday is a big day at Iola but I stopped going on Sunday because lots of venders head out late Saturday or early Sunday. Plan on looking at cars more than parts on Sunday. I usually go on Friday and sometimes again on Saturday. I have heard that Thursday is getting to be a big day but I haven’t tried it yet.

You can buy a chrome 710 cap here for $5.99. They also have lots of other hard to find items like muffler bearings, piston return springs, etc. icon_headbang.gif

You don’t need to do them all unless the master cylinder goes dry and lets air into the system. It may be a good idea to do them all if the brake fluid is old. Just be sure to keep the master filled whatever you do.

Looks like rust and a scrape. Jut paint it white and drive it. sunny.gif Repair if you’re going to be picky about it.

Yes, it does sound familiar. In November of 04 I replaced the alternater on my 77 Chevy with a rebuilt. One week later I replaced it again. It also had a 12 month warranty so the replacement was free. It’s cold here in November and I did this in my driveway. w00t.gif The most agrivating thing was doing the same job twice in one week. BangHead.gif I’ve had new parts that were no good right out of the box. Just something that goes with driving old cars. crybaby2.gif
When you put it back together, be sure it’s assembled and installed on the car right, all the bolts are tight, all the air is bled out of the system, and the master cylinder is full. It’s not a hard repair, but it is messy. Brake fluid gets everywhere. Push the brake pedal down several times, until you feel normal pedal pressure, go for a test drive and then check for leaks. Hope the caliper lasts longer this time.

I have maps and know how to read them. If I was a trucker and needed to find my way fast, it might be worth it, but I have time to stop and look at the map or do an onlne map search before I go somewhere new. Not on my “GOTTA GET” list.

:iagree: Getting cold just thinking about it. 😯

I need a multiple choice pick for this. Two cars with AM/FM cassette, one with AM/FM 8 track, one with AM/FM, and one with AM. I do have an adapter for playing CDs in the cassette players. I also have lots of cassettes to listen to.

My 77 Caprice doesn’t have that option so I do it the 1977 way. thumbsup.gif My wife doesn’t remember how to open the doors on her van if she can’t find her remote. 😯

Would I pay extra? What are my the other choices. icon_scratch.gif Of course I pay crybaby2.gif and then try to use less gas. w00t.gif Probably won’t be able to afford to buy anything else because of the fuel surcharges on goods. If you want a recession, that is a good way to get one.

I have a soft spot in my head for Kaiser-Frazer cars. icon_applause.gif Kaiser, Frazer, Henry J, Darrin, Willys Aero, etc. Still slowly working on my 48 Frazer. I like it because it’s not well known and I seldom see another one when I’m at a show or cruise. It’s fun listening to the stories of people who remember them and the guesses of the people who have no clue. jumpy.gif

I don’t believe any of these medical studies. In a few months there will be another study that comes to a totally different conclusion or someone will be caught lieing.

This is just going to cost Ford more money. Now they will have to give upper management a new Ford so they can park in their “RESERVED” space next to their office. Can’t be parking with the workers, not good for the image or ego.
