montefrazerParticipantQuote:Yes, this should be a poll. If I had to picka favorite I’d say Twisted Sister, but mostly because they have better music videos.
In the “We’re not going to take it” video, I love the part where they keep opening the door and hitting that guy. icon_applause.gif Pure Three Stooges slapstick. Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif
montefrazerParticipantI agree, use good paint on a good car. This is just a daily beater. It’s going to be run through the salty winter and pick up the parking lot dings and road rash of a daily beater. If it looks good for 2-3 years, all is good. thumbsup.gif If not, it still will look beter than it was before the I painted it and that’s all I’m looking for. sunny.gif
montefrazerParticipantI had to vote twice. jumpy.gif Have two cars with and three without. icon_cheers.gif
montefrazerParticipantQuote:I use regular enamel (Rustoleum) and I find it’s pretty good. But then again I have a 10 year old Escort. If I had a nicer car I might get paint at a local boating store (Polyeurethane). So I’m not the only one using Rustoleum. thumbsup.gif I put Leather Brown on a 77 Caprice I will be using as a daily driver soon. It was bark brown so the color is close enough not to have to do door jams and such. Total cost was about $65 for materials. Used my old DeVilbess spray gun.
I also have had freshly painted cars totaled. I painted my parents 70 Nova a long time ago and it got totaled. I painted a 71 Monte Carlo for me and it got totaled before I even got to wet sand and buff it crybaby2.gif . Hope I have better luck with this Caprice. w00t.gifmontefrazerParticipantSomeone stole it?!? w00t.gif Hope it comes back in one piece.
montefrazerParticipantQuote:Jim, I’m starting to think we follow each other around the internet.Me three? jumpy.gif
montefrazerParticipantI will pass on the info.
montefrazerParticipantI will be working on my Frazer engine on the nicer days until about Christmas to New years. After that, I hibernate until late March. Just do what is necessary to keep the daily driver cars going.
montefrazerParticipantI had a hat I wore at work that said “I KNOW EVERYTHING, I JUST CAN’T REMEMBER IT ALL AT ONCE.” jumpy.gif blob1.gif
montefrazerParticipantWhat size are they, who made them, and how much? I will pass the info to a friend of mine to see if he is interested.
montefrazerParticipantLots of them: can’t set screen colors so most programs won’t work, can’t update at Microsoft, it’s very slow and freezes up easily. . I’ll drop into the computer forum if I decide to try working on it.
montefrazerParticipantI still have my Intellivision icon_headbang.gif but haven’t tried it in many years and a few old PC games. I’m not interested in them much anymore. I’d rather do something with one of my car projects, talk with friends, or watch TV or a movie.
montefrazerParticipantSorry, no pictures. My computer is barely functioning and I am going to have to either replace it or do some major work to it.
montefrazerParticipantQuote:Quote:supplying stuff for old car nuts for many years. So what they discriminate against younger car owners?????? : 😯
I guess you could be a YOUNG old car nut. icon_scratch.gif dontknow.gif icon_cheesygrin.gif
montefrazerParticipantI’ve never bought any online. I like to see what I buy in person. I get mine at various general and hobby stores or swap meets. Jefferson has many venders selling die cast and plastic. Iola has the toy barn, which has all kinds of toys. I also go to toy shows in Milwaukee.
