Move the show next year to a grassy field near by and I’ll be the first one in line to attend (and still leave early
I can only echo Ryan’s words. There will always be “those people” at shows, and even members on this board. If their is a legitimate gripe, so be it. Taking your car to an event like bratfest, and bitching it got dusty is just silly. Trust me, I’m the leading authority on car show pissing and moaning
If a show is that bad, leave. Plain and simple. If you bitch about it, stay thru the awards to only bitch some more, you likely pissed because you didn’t win an award. Spent thousands of dollars buying or building a car to not enjoy it in my opinion. I always try to give first year shows the benefit of inexperience. See how they do the second year, and if they don’t take the constructive criticism to heart (Albany), I don’t go back. If they clearly don’t know what the hell they are doing (Reedsburg), I don’t go back.
We have a rate the show section on this board. I wish more people would use it.

I haven’t heard anything more about this car show that’s supposed to take place at Advanced Auto Parts in Verona on Saturday. I might try to call over there tomorrow and get the scoop.
This was a good show, and the weather was perfect. I saw a ton of Mopars I’ve never seen before, my new favorite being the plum crazy purple ’71 340 cuda.
I didn’t take a shirt, got too many damn t shirts as it is. This is a good fundraiser for the auto programs.
Took one look at the food line, decided I would get a sandwich on the way home instead.
Never watched any one of these shows the “celebrities” are on. I took fastwithclass’s pic with that Aaron guy, then found out I didn’t do it right. He came back around and was polite enough to re take the photo. Nice guy from the short Congo I had with him, I guess I’ll have to watch his show now… His assistant was a total douchebag, and he even said it. Lol!

Where is this new Advance Auto Parts store located?
Right on Verona Ave across from the old truck stop.

I haven’t been to Jefferson in a few years, frankly I’m not missing anything IMO.
I’m looking forward to the coming weeks, I’m not doing the Dells this year, but on May 17 there is 3 car shows within a 10 mile radius of me, I’m going to pull a Ryan and try to hit them all!

That car, however is old school and what a Mopar represented in the day. That car needs a set of black steelies and a six pak hood, the end!
I can only imagine what the parking fee will be when Motley Crue comes to town in November. Either way I’ll have to pay it, since I’ve already got my ticket to the show.
