Monroe is a car town, if the show gets cancelled by the Chamber I would bet someone else picks up where they left off.

I’ve never had an urge to own or ride a snowmobile. Same goes with a motorcycle, I’m a car guy. At least if something happens in a car accident, my mom has half a chance of an open casket.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! They need to be bailed out, then take the money to party?? I heard on the news another big banking firm that needed a bailout used some of the money to pay employee bonuses.

I did receive an email back from the show organizer’s wife. She confirmed there has been some health issues and they may have someone to take it over, but she was unsure.

    Get Well Soon.

Why is the price of gas going up while oil is staying the same or going down? The American people have to be getting tired of being screwed.

Not sure what the excuse is, but like ddhemi said, you cant blame Bush this time. When the stuff is at $40 a barrel, and the price is going down, the price at the pump shouldn’t go up. Hell, it shouldn’t have went up as bad as it did last year.

I wonder if the price of high octane fuels will recede also?

And they will need to charge those high gas prices again this summer also!

We’ll see about that. I’m still optimistic that thanks to a banking fallout and $4 a gallon last summer that prices will be down from the past few years. Yesterday fuel went to $1.95/gal, and after paying $4+ last year I think $2 is a deal.

Of course with some of Obama’s policies it could quickly turn around for the owrse and he would be going back on his word about going after the oil companies. I guess we will wait and see, if anything I hope the oil companies get scared of the liberal power in this country (like I am) and do the right thing by not having obscene fuel prices as every American is hurting right now.

Looking on the Spud City car show website I found a forum and quoted a post that may shed some light on the subject. I also emailed them to get an answer too:

“Hellfire – Ran into some health problems and had no one
else who wanted to take over the event. If no one steps up to take it
over there will be no more … John T.”

I say Mistele, lets vote her in and see what promises she don’t keep, like Falk.

Was there enough 911 call center bashing for everyone during the debate?

My girlfriend has Charter cable at her place, $114 a month for jack squat to watch. I think she’s going to get rid of it finally.

I hooked up my converter boxes to my tv’s to get the digital channels and signals, and I really like it! I get all my local Madison stations, plus the extra channels like 15-2 which is weather, and 27-2 the retro tv network. I get home every night and can watch Knight Rider (the hasselhoff era, not the cheesy new ones:cheer: ) and the A-Team!

I personally wouldn’t want any more TV channels than that. That way I give myself more to do outside and around the house.

Bank of America executives- Keep on giving credit cards to illegal aliens.

Madoff- glad he didn’t have my money.

Nancy Pelosi-take your “let’s crush old cars” bill and shove it.

Big 3 Auto Exec’s- you should be the one’s having to find new jobs.

    Bill and Hillary Clinton-self explanitory.

    Any Kennedy in political office.

I better calm down now before I double over of an anuerism:lol:

I was 13 the first time I met Sly, that was when he was still on FM 101.5 WIBA.

Where do I start to list who I think are the most terrible people in the world…Rachael know’s who I’d put ahead of the list, and I think most forum “regulars” know too, so lets go down from there.

-Keith Olbermann, do the world a favor and shut up.

    -Any Celebrity at election time.

-Cindy Sheehan, go home and quit crying about your son dying in the mid-east, you gave him up when he was young, why do you care now?

-Jesse Jackson, quit being an idiot just to get yourself on TV. Same goes for Al Sharpton.

    -George W. Bush, self explanitory.

-Any politician still in office over 80 years old.

I’m sure I can add to this :P

I went down last summer for Mr. Norm’s Mopar show they had.

They always have a nice Chevy selection too. Though my forum name/alter ego gives away my true alliance, I’m always bi-partisan to American muscle cars:)

There’s a really good restaurant to eat at the next time you go down that’s between Volo and Richmond, IL on Highway 12 called MVP’s. Try it out next time you go down, especially if you like steak!
