I got mine at oriley auto parts. I think it was about 9.00 some where around there. they got the spray kind as well. It even took the ziebart off the plastic fender wells. Powerful stuff. just wear eye protection and do not breathe it in. Stuff burns.

They called it the dart because they were having trouble finding a name for the car, originally it was to be called the hornet, then something else.. it talks all about it on allpar.com

the first coat doesn’t cover much, I stand back about 3 or 4 feet and mist it on. If you go heavy it will look like a mess and goo up and the carpet will be ruined. I was a little skeptical on how the light blue would cover the dark but as you can see it turned out great.

    my procedure

if the carpet is really dirty you will want a hose and some powerful cleaner, Awesome works the best, spray the carpet until its saturated, then take a brush after it scrub it, if that doesn’t work the next best way to rectify the situation is to use the pressure washer.

    1. let dry for a day or two

    2. Find a color that is close to the door panel carpet (in my case)

    3. stand back 2-4 feet and spray in long stokes front to back

    4. let dry for about 15 minutes, take hand and rub the carpet it should be soft, if so apply 2 more coats.

    5. Install and enjoy

Heres a picture of the final product installed and yes that is a factor Am/fm/CB radio in a K-car :)

the paint will go not go all the way to the bottom you have to run your hand over it to get all the fibers covered. So ya why pay 100.00 for a crappy kit when you can refurbish original stuff for around 15.00

most of them were, my dad bought and sold many of them back in the 70’s and 80’s they sold better with the leaning tower of power and automatic trans, he had one 318 car and it did not sell as well.

I like the new dart personally, its a big step up from the crap from 2005, I’m glad they offer a six speed manual for ultimate driving pleasure, more over than the stupid tip tronic crap.

“keep on loving that K-car” Well thank you :) I actually got 3 of them that I show, it really turns the heads at a show, little kids have no idea what kind of car it is. So they always want a pic in front of them.

IT is funny to see lame drivers that use their brakes, a friend of mine hit a guardrail today because she used her brakes…Why don’t people just slow down ahead of time or better yet slam it into Low. I personally had van with my work van today. Whipping donuts was real fun in an extended V6 express van :)

It sucks that I can not get my hands on one…why did mexican’s get all the fun…

you are right about no salt on the roads, it really has been quite easy on my daily driver (1996 corsica 3100 V6) 192,000 miles and the rockers are still solid.

to each or his own, I’m an 80’s mopar person, the blue book value keeps going up every year, early K-cars…5,000 shelby omnis 6,000-10,000 depending on condition. Any car can be fun to own..weather its slow or fast.
