IDK, that 69 Buick GS (I think its a 69) looks pretty damn nice…
XmanParticipantI’ve been thinking I may check out the Deerfield show. I never have been there but it is close to home.
XmanParticipantI’m not sure which one. but there was a 85-86 all original turbo convertible K-car next to me yesterday. It was a really clean had power everything..
XmanParticipantHow about a Tesla?
http://www.teslamotors.com/XmanParticipantdid no one attend this? I have not seen any reviews…

Kinda thinking about RC also if the weather is not to hot…
XmanParticipantI started laughing when I saw that Chevelle for 75k, and said he’ll be taking this home today. Five minutes later he was leaving…LOL
That white 54 Merc was pretty kool…
I must say the swap meet at Iola is getting pretty disappointing, it seems like the same people dragging the same crap there every year. I’m thinking I need to leave the state and find a better swap meet to attend next summer.
XmanParticipantAll these classes hmmmmm, do we really need more classes? Just so someone can get a trophy because they feel cheated out. Many car shows post their classes a year in advance. If you you don’t see anything that suits you or your vehicle don’t go to that show. Pretty soon there will be 150 classes so everyone at the show can get a trophy. Maybe we should just accept how the promoters run their show and if you don’t like it, stay home… It amazes me how many people complain about the Dells show and their judging. (including me) However we all still attend it every year, just to sit on the hot blacktop with no shade.

Looks like we got 236,000 to go.. Right on schedule…It thread didn’t start about the recall, the recall became involved in the middle of it. The thread became a good place to vent. Now the recall is over some of us have put that part of history behind us. Unfortunately I can see you are still whining about it.
XmanParticipantROFLMAO..thanks Ryan…must be Marshall’s friend..
XmanParticipantCall me when you have no class…
XmanParticipantSTORMEASTON wrote:And it has nothing to do with car collecting and swap meets……..you lost!, get over it!Your right “get over it” the thread was started 3yr 7months ago long before any recall. Plus it is in the Madison area discussions. If you don’t like it don’t read it….

I’ll bet Burger King could not even please them, even though they get it their way….From what I’ve read on other forums some people are not welcome there either…Cough,,cough LS1tech..

How was it a rip-off? What issues did you have with the show organization? Yeah, last Saturday was a hot day, but I don’t think the Road Apples Car Club has any control of the weather, nor should they not charge an entry fee just because its hot out. From reading the reviews of others, and attending this show myself in the past years, I’m curious to know why you feel the way you do about the show.
It appears there is always one or in this case two people that didn’t like the class they were in. Some say they were shuffled around..Hmmmm, I seem to recall if there were more then three mods on a car in the stock class it was put in modified. Seems to make that fair for the people with cars/trucks that are actually stock! Not to mention how many people showed up with cars on on trailers then put their cars in a different class. Read the list of classes V = Trailered Vehicles
As for goodie bags, the Road Apples spend a whole year looking for people to donate items for them. If you don’t like goodie bags don’t take one. Then continue to live in you own little world where your only friend is you..

But with the heat I too decided to stay home and keep fushing forward on projects I have here… Its amazing how much I can get done if I stick around here, and am not distracted by girls in short shorts or the refreshing taste of a cold Busch light on a hot summer day
BTW, at least my ‘fan club’ made out to the show in the heat
I see your fan club made it to Evansville, but won’t even come out in their own backyard..
