This State is good at losing businesses, not attracting them. High taxes, poor weather are among a few of the reasons.

Cuna Mutual cutting 73 jobs, 52 in Madison. Many years ago this company was a decent place to work, but not anymore. Benifit cutting, union busting seems to be the priority.

MADISON, Wis. — More companies are notifying the state Department of Workforce Development of layoffs this week.

Metalcraft of Mayville said a temporary layoff set to start next week will now last beyond six months for 94 workers.

Gardner Denver is closing its Sheboygan plant likely in August, laying off 36 workers.

AIG is closing its Milwaukee and Wauwatosa offices in September, leaving nearly 300 people without a job.

The unemployment rate in Milwaukee rose from 8.9 percent to 9 percent. The rate also increased in Sheboygan, from 9.2 percent to 9.5 percent, and in Wausau, from 9 percent to 9.2 percent.

My company is closing for the week before the fourth…nutz. I feel bad for the ones who are laid off for the long term. Looks like the Janesville GM plant will not be chosen for the new sub compact line.

This one will hurt. That is every large industry now below capacity or closed.

    Sunny/Synergy is closed.

Wick will close the offices, the Ag department looks to stay open, maybe.

    Roundy’s is at half capacity

Plastic Ingenuity is hovering just below capacity

Cardinal Glass only hired 25 people, not the 125 the Doyle bragged about.

The Cardinal Plant is the funny one. They are suppose to be produced Solar Glass but the plant doesn’t have a solar panel on it to power anything. They don’t even use their own product, Vaporware if you ask me. Wicks should bounce back once they restructure. The 3-1 perceived ratio of office people to plant people doesn’t help your overhead.

But hey, Doyle, raise some more taxes, we business aren’t hurt by the love-taxing attitude you have….douche..
