Left Albert Lea this morning. Headed south , past the corn fields of Iowa, then after 6 1/2 weeks on the road, back in Wisconsin!!! Having lunch in Prairie Du Chien, we should be home In a couple of hours.
Over six weeks, over 10,000 miles and smiles, we are safely home!

Nothing much new on our drive east on I90 through South Dakota and ending at Albert Lea Minnesota. We traveled this streach of I90 before with my son Joe several years ago. The only part of I90 I haven’t driven is from Bozeman to Seattle. Tomorrow we will make the final 300 or so miles home.

After 9,000 plus miles I needed a little break driving!
Tonight we made it to Spearfish South Dakota. So that makes 3 states today, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota. Another hot day in the 90’s. We stopped at Little Big Horn National Park. Very interesting

Left our campsite just outside of Glacier National Park and drove the Going to the Sun Road. Beautiful views everywhere! Then headed south. Tonight we are in Helena Montana. Driving down we were in full sun and the mid 90’s! We are not use to this weather as we have been in the 50’s for the past few weeks.

Left Lumby British Columbia driving through the southern British Columbia Rockies. The scenery does not end. Went on our fourth ferry ride. Crossed the border in North East Washington. We are back in the lower 48, or as LaVern from Juneau calls it “the old country” Saw something rarer that a Pinto tonight !

After a morning rainbow we headed South on BC 5 towards Kamloops. Shortly after leaving we passed the 8,000 mile mark. Had lunch by the water at the Painted Turtle Restaurant. We are staying just east of Kamloops tonight. After weeks in the 50’s it hit 89 here!
