Yesterday was my first time at Iola. I got there a little after 7am. I parked in the showfield. No wating at the gate, just drove right in. I spent the next four hours going down most every isle looking for some wheels for my camper to match my car. After finding none I went back to the car. A person was looking at my car and in the coruse of the conversation he pointed to my wheels and said he had a set he wanted to sell! I could of saved a lot of Walking! At 5 I left the show and drove to his home to pick them up. There was a great diversity of cars and lots of them. I had a great time sawping stories with everyone I met.

I am thinking about going to Iola Saturday or Sunday . I have never gone to the show.Is either day better that the other? Do you need to be pre-registered to be in the show ?

Not sure if he drives it year round, but he drove it yesterday with the top down! Last year he did make the 500,000 mile mark.

I got to Mt Horeb just after 10. Only a few there including Steve with the 63 vette. it was VERY windy and cold, so we both decided to go to Verona to see if it was warmer. It was much less windy there and I had a brat and hung out till noon.

I can come out for a couple of hours. I have to leave by about noon. Even with the cold it will be good to get the car out again .I have the inside put together well enough, doing the A/C install,to go.

I was able to get a complete unit out of a donor car. I have most of the pieces, but I am lacking a few. Since I did not take the unit out of the donor car I am on my own figuring out the install. There is a used Pinto parts supplier in California who is Very helpful. I have all the original hoses . They are a combination of metal and rubber. I would like to have new rubber crimped on them and have the service ports changet to handle R134a.

Got the A/C project started. So far so good. I have the wireing all set and the heater/evaporator box almost ready to go in. I am just waiting for the evaporator drain/ shield for the fire wall. After I finish with the inside I will have the hoses re-made. Is there some one localy that does that?
