It was another great night, with a bunch of great cars. Thank you to QSL to give us all a place to hang out for a night.

I have a contact in Belleville and she confirmed the show is Sunday ….

    Hi Ryan,

Yes, the community picnic is this weekend, and the car show is on Sunday the 12th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Library Park. I think that’s the park you’re talking about. It’s right where Hwy 69 meets Main Street, across from the fire station.

    Have a great time!

Sunday there’s a show in Belleville at the park in town, $10 entry fee.

I remember this one last year. I went to Botham and then hit Belleville on the way home (it was in Park with lots of trees). I think they had about 100 cars last year.

Bellevilles site, has no mention of it:

Botham typically has some very nice show cars (I was blown away last year by some of the ultra clean Jags there).

    I’m thinking about QSL thrusday.

Then that coffee thing (I know this hasn’t been a very well run event in the past) since it is close.

Sunday, I may meeting up with the guys that do the Coffee and Cars thing on PD, and they are planning a cruise up to Botham to check the cars out (not entering cars in the show).

    Specific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – Super easy and lots of nice signs.

Parking Location – Grass. Zero issues with mud, even in the spots that every car drove down. Lots of Trees.
(I think Marshall may need a few of our cell phone numbers)

Class Organization – Some of the car classes had to have been huge. There were about 250 cars.

Link to car show flyer with classes

Trophies & Prizes – No prizes or goodie bag, but all trophies were 3.5′ tall.

Food – This was a festival so they had a ton of stuff (even french fries and fried fish). You had to purchase Coupins to buy food.

Entertainment – Stuff was going on all day long. A concert by a beetles cover band was a short 2 minute walk away. At 1:30 there was a Ski show. An arts and crafts fair with about 50 vendors. And there was some speakers for the car show (they played the stock 50-60’s music).

Judging – Yup they did Judge

Dash Plaque – got one, it was kinda plain looking, one color on the metal background.

Variety of Cars – Pretty good. I didn’t see many t-birds.

Bathrooms – 2 porta johns on one end and then a short walk to the fair with a ton of porta johns and other normal flush ones.

    Weather – cloudy humid.

Trophy Presentation Timing – Started at 3’ish, took 40 minutes. The only suggestion to speed it up would of been to announce the 1st person clap, give the award, then announce the next 2 folks in the class (3 trophies per class) clap, give award …. repeat….

Entry Fee – 10 bucks. Pretty normal

    Overall Rating:A

Great show in a nice setting. The only thing I could think of is having a couple of door prizes.

Congrats to Rachel and her husband Steve that took home
not 1 not 2 but 3 trophies! 2 for best in class, and 1 for
    Fireman bob’s pick.

Somehow the car Gods were on my side too, since I took home
    a trophy
for 3rd for best import. There were only 6 cars in the class,
    and 2
weren’t real contenders so I knew I was going to have at least
a shot for 3rd as long as they didn’t dock me to hard for
    the
dents, dings and other body issues my car has. I stuck
the trophy on the front seat and it poked out my roof!

I’m betting most folks are heading to Elkhorn. I’m thinking about heading to Watertown on Sunday.
