It is a great time and I’m glad you were able to get in so quickly, what time did you get in line? I’ve heard reports of them letting people in long before the show opened at 7, which I tend to believe as we were in line at 7 a.m. and the line was 1/2 way down Hwy. 12 in both directions and every side street.
circletrackParticipantcongrats… was this your first time there?
circletrackParticipantToothless wonder Never understand why she’s at registration, but furthermore… why she has no teeth? Did no one tell her there are options in this world!
As for them not expecting that many cars, I was told the same thing when I complained. My response was similar to yours, I don’t think the guy I talked to had a clue what was going on.
I could do without the endless trucks driving around with a box full of kids, that seems stupid and very unsafe. It was nice to see the cars cruising around, I understand the Edge of Dells was really busy with their day long burnout contest.
Congrats on the award, none of us stuck around either.
circletrackParticipantRyan, it was a huge mess this morning. We were in line by 7 a.m. and didn’t get into the show until after 8. Lots and lots of frustrated and overheating cars. We thought things would get better after a cop showed up, but he only made it worse. We complained once we got up to the gate only to be told the parkers were having trouble with all the cars and they were expecting more cars than they had room for?! Hello?! They have been doing this show for years and still can’t figure how to move everyone along?? We offered suggestions to everyone we talked to and they said they will take them into consideration, but I doubt it. Several said this is their last year, listen… When you pre-register you get a letter you have to show to get your info, we suggested today to send the little pink card so you can drive right in, but I don’t know if that will help with the parking problem since they won’t shut down the road for a few hours to get everyone in
circletrackParticipantNow that there… is funny!
How long of an extension cord do you have to carry?
circletrackParticipantOnly along the fence.. if you can get one of those spots. We’re going to take one.
circletrackParticipantLooks great… I see someone is “watching you” in one of your pics! See you this weekend

circletrackParticipantHeaded to Automotion on Friday afternoon, always a great time!
Hoping the weather holds for Tuesday night, our first cruise night at Wendy’s in years!
circletrackParticipantLast year there were two officers from Spring Green by our hotel and we stopped to talk with them for a few minutes on Saturday night. According to them, every officer is required to work that weekend, and they do their best to keep everyone in line and safe. They enjoy seeing all the cars and the crowds that come to town that weekend, but stress that if things get out of hand, the City can shut that show down in a heartbeat and they don’t want that to happen. Years ago when all the trouble erupted, the Dells Area Cruisers were told the show was done, never to happen again. The club worked hard with the city and the police officers to get the show back on. As a promoter I can’t imagine working hard all year long to put on a show I love, only to have it jeopardized by some that (a) don’t attend the show and never will or (b) some kids that intentionally decide to do something they know is wrong and then blame everyone else around them for their mistakes.
I’m all for having fun and have always thought they should have a specific location for burnouts and such, but realize that’s not going to happen. They tried to have a burnout contest at the racetrack, but I don’t think many went out there.
The weekend is always a nice way for us to relax and enjoy the surroundings without having to worry about anything. The show also benefits quite a few charities in the area, it would be a shame for this to end, agreed?
circletrackParticipantWe stopped in on the way to the track, looked like a nice variety of cars. Much better weather this year!
circletrackParticipantI’ll have to check it out, I had some pics taken of my car on Thursday night and the editor got wind of them… we’ll see what happens
circletrackParticipantReally? We can’t wait, always a great way to start the season!
circletrackParticipantWhy does everything have to be on the same weekend? This looks like fun!
circletrackParticipantMarshall, glad to hear you will be supporting them. Last year the day was incredibly cold and windy, not a good turnout at all and this year they are competing with Automotion. I hope it goes well!
