I made an important update tonight. As you have noticed, on the “Recent Discussions” tab of the forum you now can see the latest few Rate The Show reviews and comments. However, this only displays 3 of each. Now, you’ll notice there is a “More…” link:
This opens up a nice window which displays many more of the new listings, reviews, and comments:

GaribaldiKeymasterI like the Judge clone with the corn backdrop… that seems like a good contrast!
GaribaldiKeymasterWelcome to the forum Terry! Its always nice to see a new face.
Quote:I am sure some of you that have been to Automotion recognize my 1960 Pontiac Ventura.Right you are! I immediately recognized it from this photo last year:

GaribaldiKeymasterI think this idea of a “Modern Muscle” class makes a lot of sense. It allows these cars to be included in the hobby while at the same time recognizing the differences in restoration, care, etc that go into cars that are 40+ years old verses cars that are less than a year old
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:But I like the article. Thank god for cruise nightsYeah the heart of the article is in the right place if some of the specifics like year cutoffs are not
GaribaldiKeymasterI too would be interested to hear how this event went and I’m anxious to see my first “new” Camaro.
If anyone went, you can Rate The Show and give your opinion about it at this link or if you took photos let me know.
GaribaldiKeymasterAutomotion for me!
GaribaldiKeymasterI missed that one! Very interesting and hopefully we’ll see it again this year
GaribaldiKeymasterHere are the photos:
QSL May 7th Photo AlbumAlso you can comment on the show (even if you didn’t attend) right on the bottom of the Rate The Show page!!
GaribaldiKeymasterI really like their site! From hearing about it over the past couple years it sounds like a fun time and I hope to make it out there this summer
GaribaldiKeymasterIt seems that someone or something doesn’t want photos from Cars and Coffee getting posted! 😯
A warning like that is probably caused by either an old version of Java or an old browser. If you have the latest Java (Java 6) and either Firefox 3 or Google Chrome then it should work.
Alternatively, you can use this program called VSO Image Resizer. Its free and is what I use to resize photos. Once you install it, right click on the folder containing your photos and click “VSO Image Resizer”. Once the window comes up select “1024×768” under Profile and set Quality to 100%. Then click Ok and it will resize your photos. Once done, you can then upload the resized photos (named old_photo_name-1024.jpg) using the old method, which will work now and not time out because you’re uploading a much smaller bunch of files.
Or just attach them to an email and send them to me and I can add them.
Thanks for your patience on getting this figured out!
GaribaldiKeymasterAh, I think I know what the problem is! When you upload the photos together they are all really huge if you’re taking them just from your camera. Anyway this photo upload process is too complicated and its something I’ve been wanting to change, so now I have! I’ve installed a program on the site for uploading photos. Now, a Java application will make it a lot easier.
1. Simply go to the same link but now you’ll be presented with a Java application.
2. Select the “Car Shows 2009” category and the “Cars and Coffee” album.
3. Then click the “Browse” button below and select the photos or the folder of photos you want to add.
4. Then click Open and then UploadIt may take a minute to upload all of them but it will show you the progress and when its done it will pop up a message. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
GaribaldiKeymasterHi Jon,
I can’t find the photos on the gallery. It says you have uploaded 0 photos. Did you select an album after you uploaded them? Let me see if I can make this process easier
GaribaldiKeymasterJust go to upload.wiscollectorcar.com (or click the blue arrow on the right hovering menu). There you can select up to 10 photos at a time. After they are uploaded you an add a title and description to each and add them to the “Car Shows 2009 – Cars and Coffee” album. Let me know if it gives you any trouble.
GaribaldiKeymasterI also received the flyer; sounds good to me!
