And what do they have to show for the other money already given to them?

Ryan and I have written an article to keep track of all the layoffs in one place:

I watched his speech tonight and I agree, I think they really worked hard to cut anything that could be cut without compromising the things that are important (like healthcare). I also am glad they are able to do a job freeze instead of layoffs for the state. That says a lot especially with the news from California today… Another thing I really liked is how Gov. Doyle said this new budget anticipates the recession lasting for 4-5 years. That kind of forward thinking and planning should help us in the future (hopefully by coming out ahead with the recession ending sooner than that).

I also think an alcohol tax like Amigo2k suggests would help bring in some additional revenue without a loss like cutting jobs or vital programs.

My uncle has worked for Hy-Vee in Iowa for at least 20 years now as the head of the meat department for one of the local chains. He’s always been happy with their selection of products and from what I’ve seen it is very similar to a Woodmans or Copps. I think it should add some good new variety to the grocery chains in Madison

I don’t seem to be able to get onto the rating thread. I really liked the show.

Can you see the page at all or can you just not click the “add new review” button? Here’s the link to the page again:

I just double-checked the settings and it seems to be working now

A group from the Road Apples went to the World of Wheels in Milwaukee today, does that count? :)

Good show, saw plenty of cars that never see the street, some that do and some that don’t belong in a car show like that! ;)

Sounds like fun! I also forgot that was this weekend! If you or any of the other Road Apples or anyone else who went would like to Rate The Show, here’s the World of Wheels Rate The Show. If anyone got photos I can add those too ;)

Nice Impala! I’ve always liked the trim and accessories on the sides and the white on red combo is always stylish!

I like the pic of the flat tire on the Camaro. You’d think they’d have someone check those things.

I don’t think that was the only one either… its really funny they would let them get to that condition!

Yes, a good visual editor (that’s freeware too) is called Kompozer. It lets you lay out the page like Frontpage or Microsoft Word and then also lets you publish it directly to your site right from within the program. Let me know what you think!

There needs to be oversight on this money – we obviously can’t just give it to companies after seeing these numerous examples of blatant abuse and irresponsibility

I killed charter this past fall. I saved 20 bucks a month, get more channels, a dvr (that I can access from all of my tvs in the house), a ton more HD, a ton more Big ten channels, and a signal that is less compressed.

Same goes for internet. Went to DSL, it is faster, never had any downtime in 6 months, and is 7 bucks cheaper a month.

Same here as far as Dish – cheaper for tv with the wonderful DVR feature. I love not having to watch shows at a particular time. Now I can choose when to watch them and also fast forward commercials and other parts.
