GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Why in February??? It’s cold out there! jumpy.gif
Yeah it is! Brrrr! I think he wants to celebrate getting it done – he had planned on it being ready for this last car show season but as you know in a restoration, things come up.
GaribaldiKeymasterMarshall,
I got a few more details this morning. It will be starting at 5PM and its car #337. I don’t know who the restorer was but I believe it was a combination of several places to get all the work done. I’ll see if we can find some more details.
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Yes, there was. I remember a group of at least three, maybe, four, all parked together.Marshall
Thanks Marshall, I thought they might be there. On the same note of Thunderbirds, that concept one at Barrett-Jackson was quite interesting, such a departure from the real 1963!
GaribaldiKeymasterThe wind is really blowing tonight! This winter has seemed extremely long this year due to the early onset of cold and snow

In addition, it also has car shows but since there aren’t any now there are no listings.
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:I attended this show in 2006, and it was a great show! I missed the 2007 show, and it appears there was another group of great cars for this show! That big, red, beautiful Buick La Sabre convertible is my neighbor’s car. He doesn’t do alot of shows. By chance, if anyone is interested, that car is for sale at $17K (negotiable)

Marshall,
I’ve been meaning to ask you this but it slipped my mind for a few days – were there a bunch of 55-57 tbirds there? I remember seeing several at that show a few years ago and it was cool to see them and look for the subtle contrasts
GaribaldiKeymasterDid anyone attend any of these shows? Looks like there isn’t much now until the spring. I wish it would come faster!

GaribaldiKeymasterExcellent, I will let him know that you’re interested and I’ll see what other details he can forward.
GaribaldiKeymasterThat’s a nice Camaro! thumbsup.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterI heard back from John today:
Quote:The Career Day is slated for April 25th. I realize that weather could still present some potential no-shows, but depending on the number of vehicles we have, we should be able to put them indoors. We would do this later, but schools are out for summer and are having finals during the following weeks.
The event will be at the Truax Campus here in Madison. This would be right before Spring Jefferson.
Also on a side note, he mentioned having a car show at MATC Truax if there were interest this summer, does anyone here have thoughts on that?
GaribaldiKeymasterI will get more details and let you know!
GaribaldiKeymasterI hope that wreck wasn’t too bad, that almost looks like blood under the wheel there:
GaribaldiKeymasterJon,
I had a very good time working with you this last year on the cruise nights and I know that you worked hard to make sure everyone was happy and that they knew we all appreciated them coming out. The cruise nights will continue at the Lube this year and I hope that the guy who will be running it this year will bring his own ideas to the table as well, it sounds like he is an enthusiastic car guy who really enjoys the hobby. I think that it is great to have a weekly event on the west side and especially at a place with the automotive theme.
Thank you also Jon for your contributions to the forum, you bring an interesting perspective and opinion to a lot of collector-related issues and its always great to see a new face on the site.
