I believe there was a new or newer Tesla on display at the Brat Fest Car Show, earlier this year in Madison, and the crowds and spectators were all over this car all day long. It was, without a doubt, the most popular car at that show. That was in June, if memory serves. Other than this one, I have not seen an electric vehicle at a show.

GunnerParticipantThe state just got a huge jump in the initial registration/titling fee from $64 to $169.50, a whooping $100 increase! Dane County wheel tax is $28. The city of Madison fee would be another $40. Where in the hell is this money going, and why do we allow politicians to do this to us, the hard working blue collar, contributing members of society?
I, too, would feel much better if some of this new money was being spent on public safety (police, fire, emergency services) instead of special interest groups such as high speed rail, office of immigration assistance, bilingual interpreters, multiple mayors with nothing to do, lieutenant governors who have nothing to do, etc.

GunnerParticipantJust my humble opinion, but the Madison Metro School Dist is plagued with all kinds of problems – financial, leadership, behavioral, and the list goes on and on. I think the fix will start at the top with the right new school superintendent and some fresh faces and ideas on the school board. Most importantly, the high schools need to take back control of the schools from the students, and get parents more involved in their kids academics and activities. Maybe even hold parents responsible for their kids behavior or lack thereof.
GunnerParticipantTotal car count was way down, maybe about 60% of a normal turnout. I’m guessing maybe 275 to 300 cars and trucks. Weather was really crazy. Light rain coming up from Madison, mostly cloudy and cool all day long. The low lying areas of the park were too wet for parking or driving across. But the show went on, and was run very well.
GunnerParticipantMy bad. The PROCLIP car show was not on my personal radar, but it was advertised heavily on FB and Wisconsin Hot Rod radio. It was too late for me to pre register and get a spot, so I will check it out later this morning as a spectator. It looks like the weather will cooperate today and stay dry until later tonight. Because this is a money show, there will be award winning trailered vehicles from all over the midwest competing for cash prizes. Also, it is a benefit show for the Dane County Humane Society.
GunnerParticipantI completely missed the PROCLIP car show info! I attended and participated last year, but didn’t get a flyer or notification or any notice for this year’s show. It seems to have grown this year since it’s been moved from the PROCLIP facility in Cambridge to Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center. Best of luck to all participants, I’m sure it will be a great show!
I’ll take a pass on the Oregon Car Show. I attended this show two years ago.
