Quote:You are right there, in the 80s MJ was normal and had great songs, but thennnnnn…… well everyone knows how that story ended. Only in America- where a poor black boy can grow up to be a rich white woman.LMAO you gotta love that.. 😆
XmanParticipantCraigslists has a Rants area..
XmanParticipantMaybe these car show producers should go to some quality car shows, and see how they are run. I feel some of them are in it just to raise money for whatever there current interest is this week. Some of them better learn that without the cars, there will be no show. Maybe a little advanced planning to get judges lined up ahead of time would help.
On the other hand with biased or spectator judging anyone can win:laugh:
XmanParticipantWell after that fiasco last week, I would say YAY…..
But I would also think B could split too.
Class A Car Show:
– 1900-1932
– 1933-1937
– 1938-1948Class B Car Show:
– Street RodsClass C Car Show:
– Street RodsPlease respond “yay” or “nay” to cast your vote
XmanParticipantLooks at this point that we can dream of those classes all we want. But the people running the local shows are going to do what they want. It appears as a way to get by not spending a lot of money on awards… Oh well all we can do is hope some of them read this….
XmanParticipantMaybe I should change this to: How not to put on a car show!
XmanParticipantHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,,
XmanParticipantWell one thing for sure T-Buckets do not belong in the Street Rod class. Special Interest or Kit Car class.
XmanParticipantJust looking at there web page it says: 1 car entry fee will get car and driver into the park. $5.00 each addl person in car. Kids under 12 are free!
It is kind of deceiving if you were a first timer it looks like you have to pay an extra $5 for each person to enter the show…
Oh well…. :side:

Quote:It was a great night to be out! We were disappointed so many decided to stay home because the weather looked “iffy”…We’re headed to Edgerton this weekend, love the shows held downtown!
Really, I rode my bike last night with the threat of rain. I have a rain suit I wont melt, and neither will your cars. Burgers were cheap turned out to be a beautiful night.
I’m still up in the air! Edgerton is looking better only because their awards are earlier, and there is a Mallards game Sat night were going to. :woohoo:
XmanParticipantOk you have really peaked my interest. With the “Kit” Where do you draw the line? I know of one “Kit” that is always in the Street Rod  class at all the local shows lets say 1900-1937. Should that be in special interest? or what about the KIt Cobra’s special interest again? Now should either of them be allowed at the all Ford shows there not even Fords?
XmanParticipantGood reason not to have the class on the award. So you can move awards around to where you need them. Depending on what shows up for each class.
Another reason for people to do a little planning. Give the show producers an idea of what types of vehicles will be attending. Pre-register.
XmanParticipantI’d have agree.. Yes

Quote:What do you think is an appropriate number of classes/awards to cars for a show? If you give too many awards, almost every car will get an award. What do you think is fair? I was thinking something like 1 in 10 or 1 in 5 if possibleGood subject,
I noticed that at Blanchardville there were two custom cars. They both received an award. I thought that was wrong. Not sure on the ratio though..
