Maybe some of you have, or some might work for the PO. You all should be commended, especially the lucky ones that get to walk in the “hood”. I have been to 3 of the many bulk mail centers scattered across the country. Denver, Chicago, and Detroit. It amazes me that we get any mail. Lazy, useless, rude, and maybe alittle of the “union attitude”. Trust me it’s not what the general public sees on a daily basis. I’ve been in multipule Ford plants also, back in the 80’s, things I’m sure have gotten better, but the workers at the automobile plant were much busier than any bulk mail center employee. Union plus goverment makes for some very interesting putting in my time employees. I’m not jealous, I’m sad to think of all the hard working people making far less that could fill these jobs better.

I believe all elections should be publicly funded, that way there would be no influence by groups or individuals. As far as a union making political contributions they represent many individuals as opposed to an individual(such as the kook brothers) making a contribution. To be fair to the union you have to divide their contribution by the number of individuals to determine the real contribution per union member.

It really makes no difference, the system is so corrupt now that things will never change.

That actually makes sense publicly funding the election process. As far as Union contributions, that should be disallowed as well. Not every member of a Union agrees with the Union’s political view. I know some teachers who can’t even say a word in conversations at work because they are conservative.

That will have a big impact on a town like Mayville. All those business closing have a domino effect:

It is unfair to put all union workers in a certain category. I would wager that a similar percentage of non-union workers are in that category also.

    And finally some good news……..

SUPERIOR, Wis. (WTW) — An alliance between Caterpillar Inc. and a Superior company will mean hundreds of new jobs for the area in the long term.

Exodus Machines says it will manufacture and supply material-handling machines for sale through Caterpillar’s distribution network. Exodus employs 55 people as welders, machinists, engineers and in other jobs. Exodus president Bruce Bacon says the company expects to add more than 300 jobs in Superior over the next six to eight years.

The Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/yG6aTF) says Exodus is working to secure capital for its planned expansion

Did you miss the other posts about adding jobs? It’s well known Sub Zero will lay off workers, no surprise there. :)

Guess I missed that: “The state’s 14,600 lost jobs in November not only led the nation but reflected the fifth straight month of declines in the job market.”
