78cruisingwagonParticipant
I am finally rested enough to post about our trip. It was a lot of work , but well worth it. We had a total of 21 Pintos take part in this years drive. As one participant described it as like “herding cats”!! Keeping every one moving and on time to our events. Here is an article from the Elizabethtown KY news paper.

78cruisingwagonParticipantJudging at this show was different from most car shows . It was judged by professional car designers, both current and retired. Judging was based NOT on rarity, quality of the restoration, authenticity,or collectability of the car. It was instead judged on the basis of design character, emotional appeal, artistic excellence of the vehicle.

78cruisingwagonParticipantJust ending our day at the show. It was truly an amazing experience!! About 300 cars, not two the same. Great setting, great staff, great public viewers, great car owners. I’ll post pics some time later. There were at least four award winners from Wisconsin. Mike Spangler won his class with his AMX. Also in the AMC class a 67AMC Ambassador convertible owned by Fred Neubauer of the Dell’s won the Red Ribbon Design of Distinction award. Also winning the Red Ribbon was a 77 Lincoln Town Coupe owned by Larry Hart of Oak Creek , and my 78 Cruising Wagon!!!

78cruisingwagonParticipantI will be at the Afton show on Saturday. I have never attended this show before, but since its 1/2 mile from my new house ill be there.
78cruisingwagonParticipant1227 cars at Beloit Autorama. The weather was not too bad compared to the last 3 years. Just a little light mist from time to time. The only real rain was at about 3, lasted for about three minutes. Over all a nice September day for a car show.
