brush it off … every person that brought in a car had the right to drive in and make a decision if they wanted to stay.
I always get a chuckle with the folks that attend our local car shows thinking they are at a concourse show (in reality most of these folks have never attended a true concourse show and would probably be in tears after the judging was complete).
After ten years of showing cars, the best 2 for me were the last 2 where every show I went to I left early so I could enjoy other things.
Roasting in the sun for 7 hours for the chance of a “car expert” to pick my car for a 20 dollar plastic trophy is not as fun as driving the car and watching people rubber neck and point at it …
Move the show next year to a grassy field near by and I’ll be the first one in line to attend (and still leave early

Amigo2kModeratorI rolled in at about 8:30, waved my pre-registered letter and then drove on in. No lines. They had a second registration station towards the bottom of the hill. The park was pretty much full by noon. Lots and lots of foot traffic. Many new vendors.
I took off at about 1:30 and the cars on the main strip coming in went all the way back to the interstate … pretty crazy…
Amigo2kModeratorAbout 400 cars … and as predicted the food line was about 45 minutes long .. lots of cars I have never seen before (I’m sure having Aaron from Fast and Loud brought in some folks). I also noticed they had no porta johns out (I’m not sure how you have a show this big without them). Also, the main exit road turned into a drag strip with folks doing little burn outs as they left. The main area for cars was filled and they can spill over to another lot which will hold another 300 cars for next year …
Amigo2kModeratorThey have a ton of room … pack a lunch! the Food lines will be long!
Amigo2kModeratorThe Thursday night cruise is still going on at QSL … it is on their website …
Aaron Kaufam from the TV show Fast and Loud will be at the Pride in your Ride show at MATC:
