Painted and in. And yes, I had to have Body Shop Supply make me some PCP spray paint. I also had to paint the mirror black, not once, not twice, but thrice. The first time looked good but I got impatient and left a fingerprint. The second time I tried a wrinkle finish. It looked good but not what I wanted. Third time is the charm.
jonmandudeParticipantI really enjoyed overhaulin. I was told that it was cancelled after Chip Foose signed an agreement to develop the Foose F150 and Mustang editions for Ford. I was told that agreement required that Foose only be attached to Ford for a period of time.
As for Pimp My Ride. The did an episode where they revisited past rides to see how they looked. Some were never driven again (I remember one on blocks so the rims wouldn’t be stolen). I also remember one being beat up pretty bad. If memory serves me correctly, the guy that trashed his PMR “gift” was such a poor driver that he wrecked the loaner they gave him within a few short hours.
jonmandudeParticipantThanks for the kind words guys. I always enjoyed being out there for the cruise-ins, enjoyed meeting the people and seeing the cars, so when they asked me if I would be interested in coming back I couldn’t think of saying no.

I am just fitting these parts right now. I have to spend the next few days painting, color sanding, clear coat and buff.
Firewall cover. To be gloss black. I am hoping to get a mirror-ish finish
Then ABS cover. To be body color. I hope the paint I have matches close, if not I will have to go to Body Shop Supply and get some paint that does.
jonmandudeParticipantI took some cell phone pics too

I’ve always had complete confidence and trust in them and I am sure that you will too! They have never disappointed me, and you guys have seen the results of their work at the shows.Dave has always had a great deal of knowledge.
jonmandudeParticipantIt already is beautiful, gonna be amazing. When do you get her back?
jonmandudeParticipantGood looking Monte Carlo!
jonmandudeParticipantCongrats on the new “room”.
jonmandudeParticipantMMRJR, yes I remember, it was nice seeing a familiar face. Thanks for the warm return and the compliment. Sorry to hear about you selling the ‘Stang. You put a lot into her. Good luck on the hunt for the right bowtie.
I may be back running the Lube cruise-in again, at least it is being discussed.
