Merc ManParticipant
Dodgeville, Wi. has a car show, and live music on Saturday 8-17-2019 also. The event is called Dodgefest.

Merc ManParticipantYou are correct about Spring Green, Gunner. In my opinion, no participant judged show is worth $20. There are professional judged shows that cost that or less than that. Some of the bigger two day shows charge only $25-$30. The original organizer of the show in Spring Green only charged $8 for a much better show. Like you Gunner, our group no longer patronizes this show either.
The one thing these car shows need to remember, is that we bring our cars to provide them with a show, without our cars there is no show. Instead of charging us more to enter our cars, maybe charge a couple of bucks to the people coming to see the cars.
And as far as the “custom” trophies, some of them are thought out, however most look like “scraps” stuck together to save a buck. Plastic trophies are not big dollar items either but, at least it looks like the show appreciates our cars, and us.Merc ManParticipantMount Horeb also has a car show. Just $10 to enter, and proceeds go to construct a Veterans Memorial. This is a great show!
Merc ManParticipantBe sure not to follow the Masses, because sometimes the M is silent.
Merc ManParticipantAnother very good show gone. We will sure miss it.

Merc ManParticipantWe use to look forward to Spring Green every year. However last year was the first time for a new organizer after the original people left, the show was awful. The price doubled, no organization, advertised 3 trophies per class but only gave away 2, etc.. We were going to possibly give it another chance, until we seen the flier for this year. The price has been raised again, and more things taken away. The show is clearly about making money now, and not the cars, and people.
Deforest has a show that day also, which benefits the V.F.W. Looks like the Merc will be headed that way instead.

Merc ManParticipantThe Botham Vineyards show is a great show, with many different types of cars. Many of which you do not see at other shows.
